I don’t have any local pet shops and I really need live crickets for my tarantula.
I might get a betta fish, and put him in a 5 gallon aquarium. I’m assuming that he will need a heater or can he go without one? Anyway, if he needs a heater, is there one that would be small enough for a 5 gallon tank? How would I use this filter-like the directions on how to set it up? Also, could you include any tips or suggestions you have? Thanks.

We’ll be traveling internationally with Continental and Lufthansa. Both airlines have different size requirements for pet carriers–we have two mini dachshunds. Lufthansa requires 21.6 x 15.7 x 7.9 inches. Continental is 18 x 11 x 11 inches. Are they going to get out tape measures at the ticket counter? If we’re an inch or two over will it be OK? It’s impossible to to find pet carriers that are exactly the dimensions required. All tips about particular pet carriers or flying with pets would be greatly appreciated.

We have two goldfish one of which died when my son and daughter were at school. They weren’t that close and although it happened yesterday, they haven’t noticed yet. We are a poor family, we use coupons constantly and fresh meat is a rarity for us. Is it ok to cook Archie and serve him for tonight’s dinner. My husband wouldn’t mind. Thoughts?
My 5 year old dog just came home from the vet with a yeast infection in her ears. The vet has suggested that we change her food and treats to help clear up the infection. She recommended that we change to food with rice, chicken, veggies or fish. Was looking for brands that others have tired? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
