If you really want to get the birds in, get rid of the hat!
Either change the food , or the food brand . Possibly its the weather change ?
The main thing is what is in the bird feeder. Certain birds are attracted to certain types of food, and it is possible to put out food that nothing in your area will eat. Just because the local department store sells it, does not mean it is appropriate for your area.
Contact a local store that sells bird supplies, your state Dept of Conservation, bird watching club, something like that. They can tell you what you really need to put out in your area.
After that, it takes some time. Be patient.
has it been cleaned.if it has mildew from moisture the birds wont come to it.is it flowing out freely.sprinkle some on the ground…
Making sure the feeder is clean will help.
A mixture of bird food for wild birds will draw the birds to the feeder.
