i have a dog with severe food allergies and i just bought some deer hooves … they are flipping disgusting but both of my dogs just love them … and they do not smell like the bully sticks do …
Try cow hooves.
Aside from making her itch, rawhide is not good for dogs. Take it from someone who has been there – they can cause a blockage in your dogs digestive tract and the surgery to remove them to save their life is VERY expensive.
A better alternative is either Nylabone products, bully sticks, moo tubes, etc. Just ask at Petco or your local pet store and they can steer you to better and healthier alternatives than rawhide.
Its the first time I heard raw hides causing allergies!
Anyways, I suggest a product called Himalayan Chew. Its make of 100% Yaks Milk. Its last super long, dogs love it, and its cheese…so its healthy.
talk to vet
read labels
I would stay away from rawhide, those are definitely one of the things she is allergic to! I would try deer antlers. I know it sounds gross but they are supposedly super healthy and they just started selling them at Petcos. I don’t know if they will take care of her breath but will help with the chewing. And look into dental chews for her breath. I would try Blue Buffalo Blue Bones, but make sure to check the ingredients to make sure it does not have any of the things she is allergic to in it. Good Luck!
