She loves the attention, but then gets a nasty shock! What can I do to minimize this? I am not willing to use something toxic on her, but there must be something I can do!
Thanks for any info you can share…

I used one of the silicon brushes this morning to brush a pan with butter and I came down and saw my cat in the sink licking the brush. Then I noticed some of the silicone bristles were "broke" off. If she really did eat it, will it just come out in her poop and just watch her to see if she acts funny?
should i maybe feed her a bunch of food so she’ll throw up?

I have house cats and they seem to shed a lot. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the summer or the winter. If they are regularly brushed would that help keep the shedding down?

I think my cat Fizzy, is actually what is called a "medium haired" cat. Her hair is longer than a short haired cat’s and she has a thick, almost downy layer nearer her skin.
Any brush or comb suggestions?

My cats both are shedding more now that spring is coming and I try to sit and brush them daily. One likes it and the other hates being brushed, but I do it anyway. I use a flea comb that seems to get alot of hair, when I use a slicker brush it just makes the hair go flying around the room. I am looking for something that will help the most and be comfortable for my Cats. What do you use? Could you please find a picture or be descriptive in your answer so that I can know what to buy? Thanks for your help!

I bought a slicker brush but now I see there’s a pic of a dog on the tag. I tried it extremely gently, barely touching her and she hated it. I know cats tend to hate brushing at first. But are brushes for dogs rougher than those for cats?

She has a bunch of mats and she doesn’t take care of them and so now i am trying to get her all spiffed up and cute looking again because she looks like a street cat. Problem is every time I try to she scratches the heck out of my hands. How can I calm her down enough to get her taken care of. Her nails hurt pretty bad.

I have started brushing her fur to prevent hairballs…and everything I’ve read about it just says "brush regularly"…I have no idea what regularly is…every day? once a week? Has anyone here solved their cat’s hairball problem with brushing? If so, how often do you brush his/her fur? Thanks.
