making and selling dog beds (cushions)?
I have recently been printing my photography prints on fabric. I really liked the print and wanted to incorporate it into my bedroom, and decided to to stuff it with foam (anti flammable) and make it into a dog cushion bed.
I’ve made quite a few, in different depths – some can fit inside a crate and others more like a dog bed.
A few of my friends were really interested in them and suggested I start selling them at a local car boot – just as a hobby.
I’d really like to do this, but I don’t want to sell pet products unless I am satisfied that they are safe.
How can I do that?
I can get hold of waterproof and inflammable material, easy clean, heavy duty thread, pet friendly foam etc etc, but what else do I have to do before I can legally sell products for pets?
the beds are like this

I have a question about dog beds!?
Here is the scenario….Female Chocolate Lab (10 months old), outside dog, she sleeps in a large breed dog house. How can i get a in-expensive(under ) dog bed that she cant chew it up and will keep her warm on cold nights..i live in Mississippi so it only may get down to 30 degrees on a cold cold winter night..(if it got any colder i would bring her inside).
I dont want her to drag her bed out if she gets bored and then start chewing it up…so state your answer about the dog bed then add on the answer to tell me how i can keep her dog bed in the dog house, but still be able to take it out if it needs to be washed…
thanks!
i know that labs are very active! i do play with her! every day!
And labs instinctively like to chew so i know what i am talking about!..p.s. cant bring my dog inside..she is to big and my parents said that i cant have her in there..
i already said that if it got really cold then i would bring her inside.. and it would be like 35 degrees before a lab would be like "whoa! its kinda chilly"
My dog is house trained, but over recent months he has been peeing on one of the bedroom beds and curtains?
There has been changes in the household over the last year as a member of the family isn’t here anymore. He knows to go outside but still would be on one of the beds and on the curtains in one of the rooms.. Is there any scent spray we can use?
So my dog sleeps under beds and porches ?
I’m not worried I was just wondering if anyone else’s dog did this I think it’s adorable but that stubborn Shepard father of hers is what she when I want her to cone out if she doesn’t want to she takes forever if she really needs to like go potty she’s out in a flash And she’s always sighing when she not under the porch or the bed like she is now she likes it better under the bed then on the bed good thing I don’t have hard wood floors
What is the best way to keep your dog out of your flower beds?
Mine will not keep from bedding in mine and short of killing him, I can’t keep him out. I have tried the critter ridder things from Home Depot. Nothing seems to work.
This is what I have been using

How do i use a heating pad for dog beds?
How to get your dog into magazines?
I have 3 shiba inu’s that are beautiful. Id like to get one into dog modeling for dog beds or crates. Anyone know how to do this?
why do the pillows on my dogs' beds quickly end up with all the stuffing in either end and none in the middle?
Every time I buy a new pillow for my dogs’ beds, within a few weeks the pillow is ruined because all the stuffing ends up at the ends, while the middle is so empty that when the dog lies on it, it’s hard and the puffy ends stick up. Why does this happen and what can I do to stop it?
But once the stuffing is like that, the dogs don’t want to sleep on their beds any more.
Do you think animal shelters would take old dog beds?
My mom was telling me how she wants to throw out some of our dog’s worn out beds since we bought her new ones. I suggested that we donate them to an animal shelter. I can sew, so I can patch up any holes and I can also add more cotton stuffing into them. They are faded, but I don’t think the dogs will care as long as they are comfortable. I think especially now, the shelters could use all the free supplies they can get. My mom thinks it’s a good idea.
Do you think the shelter would take them?
Thanks
Also, my dog is a very large dog (she’s about 100-110 pounds) so her beds can fit any size of dog.
They are clean and in good condition, I may need to patch up a few holes but I haven’t looked at them too closely. I’m also donating some brand new blankets and canned dog food to the shelter that I bought.
I’m sure they could be sterilized, just wash them in hot water with some soap. My dog has never been sick.
