My 5-month old puppy pees on my bed when I leave the room sometimes. She has peed on my sister’s bed as well. And tonight when I went out of my bedroom for about a minute, she peed a small spot on my favourite pillow. What’s happening? She is fully potty trained and I took her out to pee 10 minutes before she peed on my pillow!! Is this a dominance thing or is it because she’s anxious that I’m gone?

I put a foam pad in her crate and she shredded it . Now she sleeps on towels. She has not touched the two dog beds in the den. However the outdoor beds are a problem. She took the stuffing out of one and chewed on the other bed. For a while I kept putting the stuffing back in. The other two dogs do not seem to mind. Since the weather became cold last week, I put a new bed in one of the dog houses and new bed on the porch. She shredded both to usless pieces. I put bitter apple on them, but it did not prevent having clusters of fluff all over the lawn. She shreds soft toys, so I take out the squeakers, This helps them last a bit longer. I have told her "bad" and shoved bits of stuffing in her face several times in the past few months. I can’t catch her in the act! She only likes to chew fluffy toys, sticks and rawhide. This is getting expensive!
She gets exercise by weekly outings to the creek, running around the half acre yard with the other two dogs, chasing squirrels,birds, and every one who walks or drives by, and playing ball every day. I imagine she may be bored. Sometimes the other dogs get tired of playing with her.

She has done this to our bed which is obviously low to the ground and she has also done it to our son’s bed which is a top bunkbed. Under our son’s bed, she has torn off all the thin cloth lining and she is even trying to stratch into the cardboard. She seems really anxious when she is doing this. She started on our son’s bed, then she started under our bed as well!
She is 10 months old now and is house and crate trained.

My 3yr old dog, Jack, has never chewed a bed or decided it was a toy. Then came the rat terrier, Eddie. We have beds in most every room, which were previously safe. Eddie has chewed a hole in an expensive bed we had for a year before him. There is also a cheap bed with a removable pillow, which he constantly totes around (it is cute though, the pillow is bigger than he is). Then there is the super cheap/light bed that Eddie came with, which he constantly drags around.

So. We need beds that are durable enough for some occasional chewing and heavy enough they can’t be carried around easily. The beds also can’t be too large because Jack seems to like the tight fitting beds much more than the roomy ones. We recently bought a West Paw bumper bed, which is perfect. However, we need 4-6 beds total, and at a pop that is going to add up fast.

Eddie has taught us the real value of buying quality pet products! At least if we are stuck buying the beds, they should last a long time.

I’m looking to buy a new washing machine, but can’t decide. I have two big dogs and lots of dog beds. I have to take the beds to the laundry mat around once a month, spending at least to wash and dry them all. My current washer isn’t large enough to wash these big beds. The largest beds are 42" circles that are 6" thick. Other beds are around the size of two king size pillows together.

Would appreciate suggestions. Looking at Kenmore Elite 5.2 cu ft. Whirlpool cabrio 5.0. Or a frontloader. Would prefer top loading.

my lab likes to dig around my trees and flower beds. I know he does it to keep cool, what alternative can i give him or what can i do to make him stop

I’m looking for a site where I can find good deals on dog beds/crate mats. Between two puppies and an adult border collie, we need some beds for them, and moneys a bit tight.
I’ve looked at Foster and Smith, petco and petsmart online, and they don’t really have any good ‘deals’, so if you know of any other sites I could look at, let me know please.
