If you pt two dwarfs in together they will kill each other mine did i only had her for like 7 months i was so so so sad:( Don’t put them together if you want another hamster then use two cages.
Hope i helped
More than likely, they will fight ,
& now I only have 1 .
Mine did
Females will fight the male.
A male will eat the babies that will appear if he is kept with the female.
If it is a dwarf hamster you may be able to introduce it to a new cagemate, but if it is a syrian (big hamster) then they will KILL EACHOTHER.
Yep, big problem. Hamsters are territorial little critters, and adults can’t live together. They will fight to the death.
(Dwarf hamsters can, but they need to have been raised together from birth–you can’t add one into the cage later on, to my knowledge.)
Dwarfs can be kept in colonies if they are introduce properly. Syrians and chinese can not. They are both territorial and will fight, leading to serious injuries and in some cases death. I would suggest that if you want to acquire another hamster to keep it in a different cage to avoid any problems.
