I dont recomend you shop at petco, their prices are expensive, their fish are usualy sick, and they have a very small selection of fish.
like 12 cents and a tank is like 20 bucks and other stuff might turn out to be like 5 dollers
so total might be like 27 or 28 bucks??
You can get small ones for about .25 cents and the fancier they are the more they cost. Fancy ones are about $3-5 They are inexpensive but fun. Also, bettas are nice to have and not as dirty as goldfish. they are about $4 but, you can only have one in a tank.
There like a dollar if that. A fishtank would vary depending on the style, don’t use a fish bowl they are horrible for the fish. gravel is a couple dollars and a filter system will probably come with the tank. I would say the most expensive part is definately the tank, Good Luck.
gold fish are wicked cheap… like 20 cents or something like that.
Well it depends on what kind that you want. If you want just a plain feeder they are like 12 cents. If you want a fancy goldfish then they are a little over a dollar. I’d recomend starting your tank with a couple of feeders to get the tank accustomed to fish so that you don’t waste too much money if something in the beginning stages goes wrong then add some fancys in with the feeders. (Don’t do this if you just plan on flushing the feeders when you are done, PLEASE!)
If this is your first time with a tank I would recomend something like a beta. They are some of the easiest fish to take care of! (I have 4 beta tanks) You could also try a community fish tank with some mollies and/or platys and/or guppies. Goldfish are harder to take care of than you think. They are some of the most fragile fish. The only reason they are so popular is because they are the most common.
Good luck with your new tank!!!
Probably around 4-6 dollars.
goldfish are usually fairly cheap, but you should pay more attention to quality and type of fish. you want the right type of fish for you. before you get any fish though you should cylce your tank, see link bellow for more info:

forget feed fish, they’re sick and won’t last long, plus need 40gallons per fish once full grown. all common slim bodied goldfish require a lot of room.
instead I recommend a fancy goldfish. these are round bodied. even these need 15-20gallons each when full grown because they can get up to 10in, usually no bigger than 8in though. the tank is what is going to cost the most. instead of upgrading tanks I suggest getting a tank for the fish to grow into, so for one goldfish get nothing smaller than a 15gallon. for 2 a 30gallon should be good. general rule is 20gallons for one and 10 more gallons for every additional goldfish. you’ll also need a good filter. if you go with something like a whisper filter go for one made for a tank 10gallons bigger than yours.
here are a few types of goldfish:
Pearlscale – about $20
Ryukin & Fantails – $5 to $8
Oranda – $10
special eyed goldfish like moors and telescope eyes, ect, should only be kept with special eyed goldfish. they should also not have any sharp or pointy decorations and only silk plants.
here’s a great site about goldfish:

The feeder goldfish are about 25 cents, but the good one are about $4-7
you can get gold fish at petco for $0.30 a pieace hybreed are about up to 5$ you can get a complete 10 gal. setup fillter hood etc. all included for 30$ @ walmart or just buy a goldfidh bowl for about 5$ but if your a beginner you really should start with aleast 20 gal. becasue the water quailty is easy to maintain
A goldfish will cost you anywhere from 7 cents to abround 15 dollars depending on the type of goldfish you decide to go with. Petco sells premade kits that seem to be the best deal. You can get a 20 gallon goldfish set-up for about $65. This kit comes with the tank, filter, cover and a light. All you need to do is buy the gravel, decorations, and the fish. Fishkeeping is an expence to start up, but once you have everything, all you really need to buy is the food. Ive done both of my tanks from the kits sold at petco, and think its an efficient way to set up a system.
