Look for a Weimaraner (I checked the spelling) on Petfinder.com. It’s worth waiting a bit. When I got my dog, there were three Weims in the shelter.

Here you can find local clubs and rescues.

Information about puppies.
The Weim club site looks really good, so have a look around and learn lots!
Weimaraner they are big big dogs and they are hard to take care of and is expensive you should get a smaller dog to start with since you are young and just moved out and probably live in a small place.
1. Spelling: Weimaraner
2. There’s no set price for any type of puppy. It depends a lot on the quality of both the breeder and the dog, as well as how common the breed is in your area. Danes aren’t common near me (not healthy ones) so I’d pay at least 1500 for a local healthy dog.
3. Comparable size to a lab, but leaner. Again, something that will depend on the individual, but they’re not small dogs.
They are a beautiful, friendly, playful breed in general. A word of caution, though. I have seen more disgustingly overweight, unhealthy Weim’s from people who didn’t understand just how highly active this breed needs to be. If you can’t exercise this dog properly (and it’s a LOT of exercise) don’t get one! Not to say you wouldn’t be responsible, but understand the decision you’re making. A 30 minute walk around the neighborhood when you get home from work is going to give you a fat, couch-potato dog who dies younger than he/she should.
Sadly, at 17, even though you think you’re an adult, it’s MUCH more difficult when that’s thrust upon you cuz it’s like having a child. This is a 10-15 year COMMITMENT. So I’d say wait a year, at least, to see if you are still that committed to having one.
Weimaraner. Look at the breed standard on AKC.org to get an idea of size/weight.
A puppy from a reputable breeder will be at least $600 for a pet, over $1,000 for a show-quality dog. You can look up reputable breeders in your area on AKC.org, under breeders, go to Breeder Referral.
they get pretty big, the same size as a lab or a german shepherd. they probably weigh over 100 lbs,
You can get purebred Weims on petfinder.com. Look for one in your area, and it probably won’t be that expensive, since rescues aren’t in it for the money. They are really active dogs, though. But adoption fees can range from $50-350, usually, which is way less than what breeders charge. Plus, you’d be saving your new pup’s life!!
