I have 2 cats & a dog ~ the vet bills are big sometimes & I was wondering if I could get insurance that would help out.
During the past week, my diabetic dog has been peeing on tile floors in our house. We’ve tried S(p)ic & Span, antibacterial soap, and a spray bottle of some sort of tile cleaner from Armstrong. Even though we think we’ve cleaned up, walking on the floor is like walking on an old movie theater floor that’s coated in dried-on coke because of the high glucose levels in his urine. What can I do?

Added detail: He had been under the care of a vet for the past six months and receiving insulin injections 2x daily. I had to put him to sleep today because his condition worsened over the last two weeks. Besides the healthy memories, I’m also left with the unfortunate cosmetic effects left behind. WHAT’S THE RATIO I SHOULD MIX FOR THE VINEGAR TO WATER-OR SHOULD I LEAVE THE VINEGAR UNCUT ON THE FLOOR?
I need advice on how to crate train my dog.
(To sleep in at night) & (Not to pee in the crate)
What should i put in the crate when im away?
How to get my dog used to its crate?
-Thanks
I know a friend who’s dog possibly might have ringworm & now since she itches non-stop & developed 2 red patches she’s concerned she might have ringworm…Does anybody know how she can take it away & what to use…?
I am looking forward to sharing time with friends and throwing a house warming party; however, some advice would be greatly appreciated. I have a lovely apartment (live alone & no pets) in South Florida. My friends/co-workers are aware that I do not drink alcohol; however, they are welcome to bring their own. I really would enjoy a ‘Theme’ party, but cannot seem to find any ideas online that would fit. I do not want a costume party, wild games, etc.
I had a couple ideas I was kicking around but I seriously need some creative help.
My first idea was that in a tough economy to throw a "Coupon/Savings Party?" Encourage (on invitation) to bring coupons (for anything) and throw into a basket when they arrive. (ugh. Does that sound lame?)
My other idea was perhaps a "Spice Up Your Life" Party, and I can make homemade chili to serve and encourage guests to bring a spice of their choice and a recipe that includes that spice? The problem I saw with this one was that I may end up with 5 jars of nutmeg.
I also thought of an idea to make little recipe books with my favorite dishes for my guests including a spice for them. A nice little ‘spicy’ gift for them?
As you can see, I am making this more difficult that it needs to be. I am also getting long winded, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I know it is improper to ask for gifts.
I just want something new, creative and different for my housewarming party and friends. What do you think?
One final etiquette question… (If you’re still reading my ramblings) If I do go with a "Spice" themed party, or "Chili Pepper" Party, etc…how do you encourage guests to bring something? (like their favorite recipe, a spice, a coupon, etc.) Or is it implied with the "Theme" on the invite?
I do appreciate your time, consideration, advice and ideas for my party.
Kindly,
Sandra
Thank-You!
I think this is wrong but my friend tells me I don’t understand dogs & they feel secure in a small crate. I thought crates were for travel & such. Not as a home or a replacement for a yard.
Thanks all for your replies.
I was really just trying to learn. The last thing I wanted to do was offend anyone.
I live in a rural area of southeastern Tx, & a very small wild bird (possibly a sparrow) has built a nest & laid eggs (2 & 3 at a time over 10 days, now total 9) under the hood of my 250 gal outdoor propane tank. My husband 1st discoverded it while checking our fuel consumption guage more than a month ago. We know that the mother is in & out of the nest every day. The ? is, how long should it normally take for the eggs to hatch, & how can 1 tell whether eggs are even viable (gestating into living birds)??? Also, should we EVER attempt to tamper w/, move or destroy the nest &/or the eggs (if not viable) as long as the mother still comes & goes? A few yrs ago, we had a tiny blue bird build it’s nest & lay her eggs in a large planter on our porch, & it only took about 2 wks for 5 of 6 eggs to hatch into baby birds that flew away within a few weeks! If anyone has any helpful advise or info, it would b very much appreciated!!
Our cat box USED TO BE in a little storage room that is now being remodeled for a guest bathroom. Paris, ( my cat ) keeps going in there and doing #2…It’s disgusting to say the least. I want to know if there is anything that I can treat the bare plywood with that will make her want to go outside or down to the basement & also not hurt the wood… Help please!!??
