My cousin has a pet turtle and is no longer able to care for it. He is highly aware that releasing it into the wild would be inhumane, as it could not survive on it’s own. However, he’s been unable to find a humane society or shelter that accepts animals of this nature. Do you happen to know of any organizations, shelters, etc. that would accept the turtle in the Chicagoland area?

I have a sister with allergies, and I really love animals and so does my sister, so what pet except cats and dogs are good to have when you, yourself has allergies?

Something like hairless rats and guinea pigs (though my dad dont like them).
We would like something easy, we have fishes, but my sister loves cuddling! Thanks, please no rude comments!

I have read many articles whether they be fact or paranoia stating that the meat by products found in pet food is often cancerous organs of animals from human food facilities that are illegal to use for human consumption, or road kill, or even dead dogs and cats. Could a big company like fancy feast get away with this? I stay away from big name brands and only use holistic, natural food free of any bad ingredients but I’m concerned about this issue and why it’s happening and what is really in pet food.

near Erie PA. i am low income and i want to spay and neuter my cats. i just cant afford 0-0 each cat you know?

the city i live in now doesn’t have a low income aid for spaying animals. i already called my local vet. so anywhere else close or something i can fill out an application and send it to them?

The last "reported" number I saw was 16, but I think that is a bunch of crap!! My sister’s co-worker is probably going to lose his dog; the poor thing has been at the vet’s office for 5 days and isn’t getting better. My vet has lost 3 animals and another local vet has lost 2, so I figure if 5 pets are known to have died from this (within a 35-mile radius of me), the number has to be in the thousands nation-wide! And, no telling how many pets died from "unknown" causes before all of this hit the news. I think these pet food companies should come clean and tell us the truth! I feed her the Ol’Roy jerky treats they just recalled, and I am scared to death that my food (Little Cesar’s) is going to be next, even though they say not. (I’m overreacting I guess.) But, everytime I feed my miniature dachshund, Laci, I feel like I’m signing her death warrant!

I love animals, But I am getting sick of the smell in our living room. She thinks that its ok to clean out this cat box like whenever she feels like it. I have spoken to her several times and she doesn’t care. I even told her that its like she enjoys smelling cat crap and pee. What should I do? Why is this not a problem for her?

She a 7+ year old chihuahua mix. She is usually very good in the house alone but lately shes been peeing everywhere and ripping up the sofas.
