Mine will not keep from bedding in mine and short of killing him, I can’t keep him out. I have tried the critter ridder things from Home Depot. Nothing seems to work.
This is what I have been using

Other than cage and ferret start-up costs, I mean what kind of medical care do they need/what price range is it in? What kind of litter and bedding are best for them? What diet is best? What toys do they like? We’re considering adopting a ferret but I don’t want to be like the new puppy and kitten owners in my clinic who come in saying "I had no idea their vet care would cost this much." Any words of wisdom?

I bought the ferret for my son, but it turns out I am allergic. It’s approximately 3 months old, is de-musked, has had its initial shots and is very personable. I have a crate, food, and bedding to go along with it. I checked with many orphanages in my area, but none accept pets due to possible children’s allergies. I would like it to go to a children’s facility or some sort of pet therapy program if possible.

I haven’t heard much about the radiation and I don’t know if it can contaminate goods. I am not ordering anything edible or used to hold food/water. I am just getting squeaky toys and bedding. So is it safe?

I am just wondering what you put as bedding in your dogs kennel (crate)? We are currently using a big dog bed but its a pain to wash and its starting to fall apart. So we are looking at other things to use in there if you could give us some sugestions that would be great! Thanks!

I have zebra and society finches and even thou I provide them with store nest bedding they use that then go after the news paper lining on the bottom of the cage and rip off pieces and put that in their nest also I know the ink isn’t safe for them or their eggs so what can I line the cage with to avoid them ripping up unsafe ink and using it?

I have a few bird houses to hang in my yard. My questions are: How far from bird feeders and bird baths should I hang the houses? Should I put any kind of bedding as a starter in the houses? I live in Michigan, so most of the birds that would nest in these houses are common finches and maybe other small birds. Thanks. Add any usefull tips if you can think of anything else.

I’ve always wondered that. If the spacing is 1/2 inch or less and I took out the grate? Then it would be so much easier to change the bedding if I could just pull that out and dump it. It’s stupid that hamster cages don’t have a slide out tray too.
It would be longer than tall, and then you can add in ramps and everything.
