I live in Canada and recently lost my two betta fish. I now have an empty 10 gallon and want to get a new one. I was looking into some fin varieties that I can’t find in Canada (halfmoon, double-tail, etc) and know that the Petco in Bellingham might have some. Are there any specific regulations that could prohibit me from taking a day trip to Petco, and then bringing a fish back into Canada?

So I am getting my friend a betta fish for her birthday, and she knows cuz pets don’t really make good surprises. She said in the future she may want to get other fish to put in her 5 gallon tank. What other fish are compatible with male bettas, if any, that would fit in this tank?

Hi, i was wondering, what could be the reasons that a betta fish would breathe hard? Mine isnt, but i just wanted to know the reasons, you know, just in case. Thanks for any answers!

I just got a betta fish that i named Tarzan. I read that you can pet these fish so i tried it out the first day and he freaked out. I think that was probably too soon and now Tarzan is afraid of me. Can anyone help me with how to get Tarzan to trust me so he wont be scared and let me pet him?

I was just wondering when somebody breeds a betta fish, when would you need to separate all the babies before they fight each other. If you have or know more info on breeding bettas or how to care for the babies, i would appreciate it.

I just randomly want a betta fish for my room. How much would the fish cost and the food if I just went to Petsmart or Petco (I already have a 2.5 gallon fish bowl left in my garage).
Also how many Betta fish could I keep in a 2.5 gallon bowl?

I just bought a betta fish and I’m not sure what type of water is suitable for a betta fish. I don’t want to give it the wrong water and have it end up dying. I’ve read on sources that purified water is the best but I’m still not sure.

Well I have this male Betta fish and I want to get a female too. I want to put them in the same tank but I’m worried that if I put them together they will have a ton of babies and my fish tank is not too big! So I want to now how many fish they have, and how often, because if it’s only one or two that’s okay.
