I wanted to swtich my dog to a better brand of dry dog food and I heard that Nutro dog food are decently good. Whats your opinion and experience with it? Does it really do what it says, is it worth the price( which I heardis prettyaffordable) and do they have byproducts and alot of corn? Also, I know they have three types, natural choice, max, and ultra. Whats the difference in them, and whats the best out of those?

My cat really likes fancy feast, but she refuses to eat any other wet food. I heard it has a lot of byproducts, but she won’t eat anything else and i don’t want to stress her out by forcing her to eat a food she hates. I decided to give her some dry food with her fancy feast wet food to give her full nutrients. Im feeding her friskies, but Im not so sure if that’s a dry food brand either. If its not, i really would like to know about some good dry food that is easy to find and buy and isn’t a total rip off. Any good advice would be apprieciated.
I don’t mix the wet food with the dry food. Sometimes I feed her wet food, and sometimes i feed her dry food.

Is it the pretty TV commercials? The pretty bag?
What the front of the bag says doesn’t match what the back of the bag (the ingredients) says. Beneful has a lot of fillers, byproducts, and artificial dyes. And also has very low meat content.
Here is an analysis of the ingredients in Beneful: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/showproduct.php?product=69&cat=all
And here is a website that shows how to interpret the ingredients: http://www.dogfoodproject.com/

My coworker at our pet supply store swears Science Diet is the devil. She said it’s really fattening and has too many byproducts. It’s basically junk food to them. I figured since the animal shelter gave me a free bag of Sci Diet with my adopted kitten, they recommended it, and I’ve read that vets also recommend it.
So….. is she just crazy or is she on to something?
What dry dog food do you feed your puppy/dog?
