I’m pregnant, and I know the risks of cleaning out a cat box – the toxoplasmosis thing. And I live with two other people (roomates). I have two cats. I’ve offered to trade chores with them, asked them if they could please help me out, but they won’t. I’m stuck cleaning out the box. My cats are indoor cats, but there are dogs in the house that go outside. I always wash my hands after I’m done. Is this enough? Or is there a better way?

If you have a cat, you have to change his cat box every so often . How often do you change the litter in your cat’s cat box ? How often do you scoop your cat’s poop out of the cat box ? What cat litter do you like best ? Did you have to try several brands before you found the brand you use now ? Thank you in advance for your answers .

I have a new kitten and when i first got him i took him camping with me, he was VERY good with the cat box and if he couldn’t find it he would meow for it…..sense then we have brought him home where we have another cat, only now the kitten seems to only poop in my parent’s bed. We have only one cat box, could that be the reason for this gross new habit?

My male cat Nikita is about 3-4 years old, and was litter box trained. He started recently (a month or two) urinating, and leaving lil "presents" all over in my basement. I don’t understand why he does it, he’s spayed, and the only other cat we have is a female, and she’s neutered. He knows how to use the cat box because I’ve seen him countless times using it. Even if the cat box is cleaned, he’ll still find something somewhere down in my basement to relieve himself on. Why is he doing this? What can I do to prevent him from doing this again?

We live in an apartment and the only place we can find to put the litter box is in the spare bathroom next to the toilet. The only problem is that the entire bathroom smells like the cat box. We keep it clean (clean it out everyday) but it still smells up the entire bathroom and some in the hallway. The litter box we use is very basic. Any suggestions?

We just got a cat and we have an apartment so i really need a type of litter that can control the odor in a small area and something that clumps up when the cats goes would be great. I think that should help keep the cat box clean most of the time. I really don’t feel like trying every brand out to find the perfect one so if anyone has tried anything they really liked please let me know whats best. Also im using fresh step right now and it does nothing for the odor.

We are trying to litter-train a bunny, and thus have put a litter box near his cage. However, our cat, who has her own litter box in the bathroom, has appropriated the bunny-box.

What to do? I want the rabbit to go in the rabbit box and the cat to go in the cat box. How can I keep the kitty out of the bunny’s box, while still encouraging the bunny to use it?

My Grandpa is really old has alzheimer’s, and he is living with us because my brother is a nurse. But Grandpa poops in the cat box, its really gross, and it makes the cat not want to use the box so she poops on the floor. So everything is just really gross, there is poop everywhere. I hate Grandpa poop, and cat poop. Help!!!

Hi I have a two story house and my cats litter box is in my guest bathroom. I scoop it twice a day and keep it smelling fresh, which in the bathroom it does smell clean. Well when you get 1/2 way down my stairs it smells like a dirty cat box, what is up with that?

he keeps on peeing on the rugs he goes poop in the cat box but even though he gets in trouble he just keeps on peeing on the rugs! any ideas how to solve this?
