She has two cats and two litter boxes, but she’s having more and more difficulty dumping the cat litter into a plastic bag and then getting it to the curb for garbage pick up. Liners don’t work, besides the bag would still need to be picked up and brought outside. The cat will go on the carpet before using clumping litter. I thought of elevating the box so it could be tilted to empty without having to lift the box, but the cat won’t go for it and the bag would still need to be brought outside.
Any suggestions?

I thought that the litter is supposed to take care of the smell. I know there should be some smell that goes with the presence of any urine but I thought maybe I should throw out all the cat litter and wash the box after some time. What is normal to do?

I am taking care of my friends 2 year old female cat. I am not a cat person so I truly have no idea what I’m doing. Right now I am using his ‘Purina Tidy Cat for Multiple Cats’ cat litter. The cat litter itself actually smells good but this cat takes the WORST dumps! Any better Cat Litter I can use? Also all the cat eats is regular Meow Mix and it’s not eating table scraps meaning its poo naturally just smells that bad.

I’m getn a little kitten and i want to know how much is for all the supplies it needs like cat litter and a box for it to poop on. i want it to be under 30 for all of it and i want it to be smelling good for the kitten or its gonna barf or something. I have an indoor rabbit that I keep in a nice wooden hutch. The hutch has a partition for a bedding area that’s completely enclosed and then it has a partition for the food/toys, etc., that is open with caged sides where the rabbit can play, etc. Underneath there is a tray that runs the length of the hutch to catch all the droppings, urine, and food she might throw about. The rabbit can’t get to the tray because it’s under the caged floor (it slides up under the floor). I put soft bedding in her bed partition for her to sleep on and she likes that.

BUT what I need advice on is a litter/liner/bedding for the tray. I’ve been using cat litter to line the tray but the tray is so big (42 inches long) that it’s difficult to maneuver when changing it without dumping the cat litter in the floor. I thought of just using newspaper, but then the urine might leak thru to the bottom of the tray and then THAT would have to be cleaned quite often.
I straighten out her cage daily and clean it out altogether once a week. Any advice on what to use that would make my life easier when cleaning out the tray would be greatly appreciated!! THANKS!
