i bought one treated w/ cat nip and she still seems uninterested. the only thing she wants to do is scratch the leather chair! do those claw tip things work?

I have tried the liquid cat nip spray on her scratching post and other places to try and detour her from the couch. I also have tried the loud "AAAAAA" when I catch her, and the water bottle spraying method. She is tearing up my couch, help!!!!

is there a time limit on how long a cat should play with catnip. is it bad for them?? we never gave our childhood cat catnip….but now that i have my own she isnt going outside right now so i bought her a catnip mouse. She likes it alot, but i dont know if its bad if she plays with it too much.

My mom used to make cat nip sound bad or something.

She’s only 10 weeks old. She doesn’t seem to interested and I’ve read that cat nip doesn’t work so well for kittens. I’ve tried taking her to the post and prop her up and showed her how to scratch but she runs off anyway.

Ok so i have had my kitten for 2 months now which makes her about 4 months old. And she’ll scratch anything but the scratching post. We tried everything! We put cat nip and cat nip spray on the post, but that didn’t work, and we yelled and sometimes sprayed her with water whenever she scratched the furniture, but that didn’t work either! What do we do????!!!!!

I have this stray cat that comes to my house and he won’t let any one get near him so I’m making a little house for him and i want th butter him up by giving him a tasty new treat. I’ve gave him cat nip and he eats but i wanted to make him something special. Have any ideas?

So, my cat has never had any bad after effects from eating tropical fish food (Wardley). She acts like it is cat nip and it’s the only treat she will tap your hand, jump around and look for. She loves it.
I was wondering if there were any other cat owners who have the same, and if it’s ok to let her have some as a treat. Thanks.
