I know that dry food is supposed to keep there teeth strong, but is there something in wet food that they also need. I have heard that dry food can cause dehydration in cats, Is this also true about dogs. My dog also belches a lot. Does anyone know of something that can help him with this. It is usually after he gets excited and drinks a lot of water. I haven’t had a dog in many years and I am just wanting what is best for my new friend. He is truly a woman’s best friend. Took both my kittens to the vet and they got their final shots. The vet didn’t want to overwhelm them so they gave us the yellow liquid to give to them at home. So we gave them their medicine through their food, and now I see tapeworms again. They had them before we got their front line medicine, and I put on the front line when we got back from the vet and hadn’t seen any tapeworms until yesterday. Is it harmful to use Trade winds Tape Worm Tabs for Cats, since I just gave them the yellow medicine from the vet for hookworms and such on sunday?

My cat’s about ten weeks olds, and when she is six months of age, she is scheduled to get spayed. What I was wondering was.. if I get her fixed, will it make her uninterested in catnip? I’m aware that some cats just don’t like catnip no matter what, but I was just wondering if getting her fixed at six months would make her uninterested in catnip.

I have house cats and they seem to shed a lot. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the summer or the winter. If they are regularly brushed would that help keep the shedding down?

My 2nd ScoopFree electronic cat litter box in 3 years has now died on me. I am now in the market for another electronic cat litter box. Not sure if I want to get another ScoopFree since I think spending 0 in 3 years on electronic litter boxes is a little much and I also don’t have the 0 to spend. They seem to wear out quickly for just 2 cats. Wanted to see what has worked best for other cat lovers out there. Suggestions?

My cats both are shedding more now that spring is coming and I try to sit and brush them daily. One likes it and the other hates being brushed, but I do it anyway. I use a flea comb that seems to get alot of hair, when I use a slicker brush it just makes the hair go flying around the room. I am looking for something that will help the most and be comfortable for my Cats. What do you use? Could you please find a picture or be descriptive in your answer so that I can know what to buy? I bought a slicker brush but now I see there’s a pic of a dog on the tag. I tried it extremely gently, barely touching her and she hated it. I know cats tend to hate brushing at first. But are brushes for dogs rougher than those for cats?

I have been feeding my cats Nutromax dry cat food for three months and all of a sudden, none of them want to eat and all four are vomiting daily. Is anyone else experiencing this right now? Was there a recall that I didn’t hear about? The expiration date on the bag says November 2011, so it should still be good. Is there another brand I should switch to?
