I recently Primered and painted the birds poop tray and YET , the AMONIA still eats through the paint/primer. WHAT do I do?? IS there anything I can do to prevent the amonia from eating to the paint?? ALSO.. I need some form of procedure, or bird safe chemicals that can handle daily cleaning and scubbing when I clean the bottom of the tray!!
IDEAS?

Follow up to a previous question. If I don’t use aquarium salt how do I a make the water softer and the ph lower? The water where I live is very hard and I heard that the chemicals to lower ph are toxic to fish and can make them sick. I thought about using spring water in my tank but that could become costly in the long run.

I never knew alot about "high quality" dog foods until I just got a new dog recently & started reading on the ‘net about it – I was shocked to see that most articles ranking top dog foods said that there is not ONE SINGLE dog food brand sold at common discount & grocery stores that is good for your dog. Most reviews seem to recommend brands like Canidae, Orijen, Innova, etc. I understand lower quality dog foods are full of fillers, grains, by-products, artificial flavors/colors, chemicals, preservatives, etc. It just boggles my mind there is not even ONE good brand that is highly recomended sold in our normal stores where we shop – have to go to pet stores, feed supplies, vets offices, and other specialty suppliers to get any of these premium brands ? I guess what bothers me too is why are we forced to go out and spend so much money on the premium brands? Is there no compromise of decent quality dry dog food at a reasonable price ?

I have two betta fish, a male and a female and I am wondering what I need to breed them (PH level of water, temperature, chemicals, tank size, etc). And then I need to know what to do after the babies have been born (when to start feeding, when i need to separate the males, and how long it takes before they are themselves able to breed). THANKS!

my boy friend said that catnip is herbal and is really good for you, but he’s not using the plant. He bought a catnip ball from a store and is using that, and drinking it in tea. Is that healthy, or does that catnip have chemicals in it that will hurt him?

My hamster loves to go outside, but he always eats plants and grass. Of course none of the plants are sprayed with chemicals, but I still wanted to know if it was ok.

I have a betta fish named Wilfred and I’m planning on creating a 10+ gallon planted home for him and am wondering what the best plants are for bettas and, more importantly, what do I need to do to make these plants flourish? What substrate do I need, what chemicals and such, what temp, what light, and any other things I don’t know about? I’ve never planted before, and I’m just starting to research it.
