Does your local Petco have blue iguanas?

I went to Petco yesterday to check out pet supplies when I saw they had an "aqua blue" iguana in with the green ones.

Just wondering if that’s a local thing to hype sales or if all the stores are getting them.
I own an iguana and know that the species called green iguana can vary in colors from blue, and red to orange depending on season and temperature.

Just asking if anyone else saw them at their local pet store.

Im not sure what kind of light bulb to get for my 5g with a betta, some neons, oto cats and a live plant. Not that there are a lot of bulbs to choose from for a 5g at petsmart. But do you think this is a good bulb? I want the colors to pop on the fishies and of course keep my plant alive.

Im thinking of adding more plants too. What plants should I get?

I was thinking about buying one, but they are kind of expensive (about at the pet store). I want to know if its worth the money and if they last a long time.

I was thinking about getting it for my bull terrier, but he is kind of thick so I am not sure a thin collar like this would work best or not? What do you think?

Also what color do would look best on a red and white bull terrier with black face markings (know as smut).

Here is the type of collar I am referring to:

Here are the colors:

Breed and color of my dog:

(not my dog, but he is the same color).

Also do you know of a discount place on line that would sell these and don’t want an arm and leg for shipping costs?

Thank you!
I don’t want it for training, I want it just for an everyday collar. I use a prong collar for training.
I thought a rolled one might be more comfortable for my dog and would not upset the fur around his neck where as the flat ones seem to crease it. However I am not sure if it would be an issue if I had to grab him by the collar quickly and hold him back.

I have fallen in love with a dwarf albino hamster at the pet store, but don’t want to cheapen the style of my house by keeping one of those multi-colored (or bright colored) habitrails around.

I also don’t want just a glass aquarium because I want it to be interactive. I like the functionality of the habitrail, I just don’t like the colors.

…. I haven’t bought the hamster yet.

Anyone have ideas?

I never knew alot about "high quality" dog foods until I just got a new dog recently & started reading on the ‘net about it – I was shocked to see that most articles ranking top dog foods said that there is not ONE SINGLE dog food brand sold at common discount & grocery stores that is good for your dog. Most reviews seem to recommend brands like Canidae, Orijen, Innova, etc. I understand lower quality dog foods are full of fillers, grains, by-products, artificial flavors/colors, chemicals, preservatives, etc. It just boggles my mind there is not even ONE good brand that is highly recomended sold in our normal stores where we shop – have to go to pet stores, feed supplies, vets offices, and other specialty suppliers to get any of these premium brands ? I guess what bothers me too is why are we forced to go out and spend so much money on the premium brands? Is there no compromise of decent quality dry dog food at a reasonable price ?

Help finding the right dog collars?

Okay so I want to buy new dog collars for my dogs. I have a white miniature poodle and a red healer (australian cattle dog). Below are two pics of them.
For the poodle, I was thinking a pink cute collar with a bell or something, and I’m totally stumped on my other dog, cause she has sooo many colors in her. Right now she just has a boring old red collar.

Here’s the first one:

(this one down here is from google, since the other pic i had was kinda bad)

Okay- I don’t want dumb answers here.

My 7 1/2 yr old yellow lab is a great dog. He has many toys that he’s tough on and loves- but never touches our kids’ toys (NOT ONCE in 5 years we’ve had him has even attempted to chew on, play with them), even if they are made of similar material, squeak, similar colors, etc. How is this? Is it just good training? Is it that he recognizes what’s his by smell, sight, sound, memory? How does this work? Again, don’t give me a dumb answer- it’s a serious question.
Thanks for the answers. I’m especially asking because we got a puppy (about 5 months old) and I’d like to find a way for her to mimic our lab’s good habits as much as possible.
