And for those of you who still buy, why?
1. i dont know anyone diabetic
2. if you would READ the iams websites it shows where they had someone undercover work their for 9 months .. recording everything
PROPAGANDA??? TELL that to the owners of 100+ animals who passed away because of the recall .. INCLUDING MY PRECIOUS 2 YEAR OLD CAT. 1ST OFF, THEY HAVE TO GIVE A RESPONCE, NOT JUST IGNORE THE THREATS .. AND 2ND OFF WHAT? YOU THINK THEIR GOING TO ADMITT IT? LOL, NO.
AND IF THEY DID SHUT DOWN THAT PLANT IN 2003 LIKE THEY "SAID" .. ITS STILL HORRIBLE FOR YOUR ANIMALS .. WHICH BRINGS ME
BACK TO THE REEECALL!!
——-
WHO CARES if one website is for peta and the other isn’t .. IAMS is still doing those testing and IAMS is still harming animals .. need i remind you of the recall .. so its bad, either way.
I will be getting a small breed dog soon and I have been doing some research on dog foods. I would like to do the "home cooked" or "raw" food diet but I would like some more information on this.
-what are some recipes?
-can this be frozen to be used later(could I make all the meals for the week and freeze them)?
-how much does this cost?
-how much time does this take per day?
-How much should I feed the dog (also include how many times a day I should feed…keep in mind it is a small dog I would be cooking for)
-Would a raw food diet be better? (reasons why/recipes for this)…I would imagine that uncooked chicken would be bad…?( i know dogs are animals but they’re also domesticated)
I’ve looked into different kibbles and decided that Blue Buffalo would probably be best as it seems healthy, had good reviews, and is available at my local pet store…but I’m unsure of this as I would imagine that the raw/home cooked diet would be best
So a few questions I have about this are…
-would it be good to mix both the blue buffalo and the home cooked diet together (how much should I give of each)?
-If I was unable to give the home cooked meal would the Blue buffalo be ok for the week?
-what are your experiences with Blue buffalo (for small breeds)?
I want to feed what’s best for my dog but I also cannot afford to spend 60 dollars on a bag of dog food that will last me a month. (I did the math and blue buffalo should last me around 2.5 months for 30 dollars….plus I can get a discount on the food)
Please let me know your experiences for both and help me make the right choice for my dog
I have an eight year old diabetic Shih-Tzu on insulin twice a day. My vet advised what ingrediants should be in her food and recommended Science Diet WD that he sells out of his office. When I found better alternatives after researching dog foods online he made excuses for sticking to Science Diet. He would not give me a prescription to buy it where my wife could get it at a discount. I have to travel nearly an hour one way to get to his office and an hour back for a bag of prescription dog food. He is doing the same with the insulin. Insisting I buy it from his office. I am convinced he is not looking out for the best interest of my pet but rather for himself. I have switched to another vet nearby but suspect I may run into the same problem. My research tells me that Science Diet is dog junk food. My dog has done well eating Blue Free Range Free Lamb and Brown Rice for the past year and a half. It seems to have what is requireds for a diabetic dog. Has anyone else had this problem? I would not recommend that anyone blindly trust the recommendation of a vet. They are in it for the money.
There’s a site that gives addresses for coupon donations to military commissaries, and I didn’t know if I should include dog food, cat food, etc coupons.
Almost everyday my dog( a 20 lb Terrier mix ) has to go outside and he throws up a yellow acidy substance. I have him on sensitive stomach Nutro brand dog food. Has anyone else dealt with this problem. He is 7 years old and has been like this since he was about 2.

I have a Lab named Lucky and i don’t what kinda dog food to get him. What supplies do i need, too?
what are the signs and symptoms of iams dog food poisoning?
I have 2 cats and 1 dog. I buy my dog dry food only, which he has in his own bowl. My cats must have both dry and canned food though, because of the diet requirements of one of my cats (he’s diabetic). Twice a day my cats get a can of food, and whenever they are done eating my dog comes over and finishes eating what they don’t, probably about a 1/4 can or less altogether. This is twice a day, everyday. It never occured to me that this could be bad for my dog, until I read that it’s very bad for cats to eat dog food, then it had me wondering. Could this harm my dog? It’s not special diabetic food he’s eating or anything, just regular canned Friskies. He doesn’t eat their dry food at all.
