I want to adopt a papillon puppy and I read that Pedigree, Iams, and Purina are not good to give to dogs because they don’t have the nutrition that both puppies and dogs need. What type of dry dog food is healthy and safe for them?

My 10 week old German Shepherd pup drinks a lot of water and doesn’t really eat. Whenever I give him food he just smells it and the look at me. I feed him IAMS puppy food for large breed puppies.

I have a 2 year old Bullmastiff who seems to develop a food allergy about 5 months after he is eating any dry dog food. I have tried Nutro Natural Choice, Nature’s Recipe, Costco Lamb & Rice, ect. The vet suggests Benadryl, which is fine, but I need to find some food he will do well on forever.
His ears, eyes and mouth get very red when he is allergic and he becomes itchy. Please post any advice you have, Thanks!

I feed my AmStaff Innova Evo wet and dry food. I was reading on the internet of the benefits of feeding dry food only and I’m intrigued. Is it really good for a dog to only have kibble? Do they feel like they’re missing something. He gets BAD gas if he has the slightest diet change. So how to transition my dog slowly to only eating Innova Evo dry dog food?

we have 3 other dogs and all we can afford is the dry dog food that they eat. but our puppy seems to cry every time he eats it. could it be hurting his teeth? and if that’s not the case why would he cry?

My dog will not eat her dry dog food unless I am watching over her. She would rather steal food from the cats dish. Is it ok to feed a dog cat food? All dogs seem to like it better than dog food. I have bought different brands of food but she still does not want to eat it. She woulden’t even eat Nutro (the best brand you can buy) & I don’t want to feed her any thing cheap that has corn as the main ingredient. I don’t want to feed her canned dog food because she has long white hair & will get it all over herself. Any suggestions?

I currently use Nutro Max dry dog food and would like to know if there is anything better to feed my pooch. I’m looking for less fillers and by-products.

We have been preparing our own dog food (chicken, beef, veggies, rice) for the past 2 years. Recently we were told that they probably are not getting the vitamins & nutrients that they need. Because of that (and the fact that it’s become a real bore fixing their food) we’re switching them to dry food. Two dogs- a smoothie and a long hair. The long hair is SO picky about everything he eats, and we’re struggling – big time. What is a good, nutritional dry dog food? We figure if we introduce it to him and stick with it, he’ll HAVE to eat sooner or later…
