I have been seeing my Siberian Hamster / Russian Dwarf Hamster Sandy itching herself often these days. It maybe the because of her eye infection that she is having now. I also know that it’s normal for hamsters to groom which may pass for other signs like they nervous or just grooming themselves. But I see her itching herself more often than normal. I am now wondering if she has fleas.

I had a pair of dwarf hamsters (Coca & Cola (CocaCola)) and Coca died 2-3 weeks ago. So now I only have Cola.
I want to convince my parents to get me a Syrian Hamster. I know that Syrian Hamsters must live alone because they are solitary animals and because of that I will not even think about putting a Syrian Hamster with my dwarf hamster.
I have a chinese dwarf hamster. My friend has a dwarf hamster and it had babies, but it’s a russian dwarf hamster. I really want another, but is it safe for two different breeds of dwarf hamsters to live together?
Our dwarf hamster (~ 6 mos old) suddenly died yesterday though she was seemingly in good health. We noticed the food dish was empty though there was plenty of water. We last filled the food dish two days earlier, so it’s possible that the hamster may have gone a day or so without food. Would this be long enough to cause death ? Earlier in the day she was acting strange, nibbling and biting when being handled which she never did before.
- We hate to think that we lost her due to our oversight.
Well I have a female teddy bear hamster that around 10-12 weeks old and a new dwarf hamster that 4 weeks old.I was wondering if you can put them together.I don’t want my mom to waste any money on a new cage because the one we have it in is a transportaion cage we borrowed from the person who gave her to us.So please can you tell me if you can or not?If you can I will award you with 10 points!
I have a dwarf hamster and he runs everywhere in my room. I want to make him a small playpen to put him in when he is out. I have a hamster ball but he gets bored with it ha ha. I don’t want to buy one because at the store they are too big. And I don’t want a kiddie pool because they are too big too and I also don’t want to use wire. So does anyone know how to make a little playpen for hamsters?
Well he really loves his ball and it can’t cause spinal problems, if it did people wouldn’t sell them duh and I don’t want to use wood because they chew it and get splinters and hurt themselves
