Iams, Eukanuba and others, dogs and cats, even some Purina chicken
feed and pet bird seed, also one type of horse pellets:

If you look for pet food and salmonella, you will find too many brands are contaminated.

My 4 month old lab and german mix won’t eat her dry food. I bought her beneful and she didn’t seem to eat it, so I would always mix in canned food with the dry food and she would eat it. When it finished I decided to buy a better brand and I bought her Eukanuba thinking she might eat it without canned food, She ate it the first day like crazy, but the second day she didn’t even eat a little bit! I don’t want her to eat canned food, I want her to learn to eat dry food but she is so picky! What can I do to have her eat the dry food?

I have a year and a half old Chinese Crested. I feed him Purina Beneful dry food and I mix it with Purina Mighty Dog wet food. I use to feed him Nutro and before that Eukanuba.
What is the best dogfood that can add years to my dogs life and keep him at his best?

And should i use the same brand if i mix the two? I hear so many different things…like that Iams and Royal Canin is good but they’ve both been recalled and so has Eukanuba, which are all good foods ( i thought) and I currently feed my cat Nutro for dry and canned, but i haven’t been hearing good things about that either, so now i’m just confused.

My kitties eat a combination of Eukanuba and Purina Pro Plan dry food. I like to give them moist food daily but can’t seem to find anything that they really like to eat = ( Here is what I have tried.
Sheba
Purina Pro Plan
Whiskas
Meow mix
Friskies
Iams
All of the moist food in those little flavor puches
Whiskas
Science Diet
and probably a couple I missed.
Has anyone else had this problem? What moist food does your kitty eat?
Thanks

Obviously I and others have been deceived and tricked by Nutro (one of the pet food companies affected by the pet food taint!) It appears that by OUTSOURCING to Menu Foods.. the same food I pay 89 cents a can for is the same food as someone who pays 29 cents a can for at Walmart, that there is no nutritional difference and that companies like Eukanuba and Nutro have deceived pet owners for years. (I already KNEW IAMS was crap) It appears there needs to be some legal regulation in the Pet Food Industry

My cat’s vet recommended Science Diet or Eukanuba with low ph. My cat had surgery several years ago for a blocked (crystals) urinary tract system. The vet at the time said he would always have to be on their special vet diet food (low ph Eukanuba or Science Diet). A new Vet has since taken her place and he has not given me a straight answer. I was wondering if anyone else knows of a food that is low in ph that can be fed to a cat that has had crystal blockage. Oh, before he had the crystal blockage, I was feeding him Friskies because that was all that he would eat. The vet told me that was what caused it; that and stress from getting a new dog addition to the family.
