We’d like to take a short vacation and maybe stay 2 or 3 nights in Galveston, but we’d like to take our family dog with us. Do you know of any nice places that are not an arm and a leg? Anything less than 0 a night would be great!

One family outside/inside dog and one inside family cat. An outside dog next door (doubt being treated) right on the other side of the fence from our family dog kennel. Therefore I need to know how to treat the outside kennel and yard, the inside of the home and the pets.

What breed of dog is the most stable to trained as a therapy dog for a child with autism? We are going to purchase a pure bred puppy after the first of the year, but we’re not sure which way to go. I’ve looked at the AKC website, and it doesn’t list any specific breeds that are more stable then the other. We’re looking for a stable, family, dog that can be trained as a therapy dog for a child with autism. We are not interested in a stafford shire, hyperactive, or a breed that is large. We’re looking for a small to medium sized dog that doesn’t exceed 40 lbs. Can anyone give me some suggestions, opinions, places to look? We currently live in SE VA. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Please no rude answers. Thank you.

hello, i have always wanted a therapy dog. i have two dogs now but one is a bit fearful of strangers after an accident she had when she was younger and got hit by a car. and the other one is getting older and has a temperament toward younger kids with high voices and other dogs. so i am looking into getting a younger dog (under a yr is tht good?) or a little puppy. i want to know which dog breeds are good for therapy dogs. and i know that it depends how they are raised and trained. but also how the breed is whether they are a family dog or not. so i would like to know which breeds are good with people, and get along with other animals, and that i will be able to train to be a good therapy dog. (i am okay with a little challenge in training, but nothing out of control.) and also what are the requirement for a therapy dog as far as getting along with ppl? and other dogs? and anything else?? thanks in advance!
i would like a medium – large+ breed. and i definately do plan on looking up more, this means alot to me. i just want sort of ideas to look into. thank you all.
rotten rotts… i know that they need to get along people and dogs, i put that in as example of my requirements..i was asking what else besides that.. i have trained my dogs and outer family dogs. i know how to train a dog with good ol obedience

I’m getting a papillion puppy in about a week. I have an older adult collie which is my dads and the family dog. My collie keebie is very well behaved and has good manners. I’m just wondering how the collie will interact to having a puppy around …. he’s usually good with other dogs but I want to make sure hes going to be ok with my pap. So how do u think they will interact?

We have a dog named Beanie. We’ve had her since she was a puppy. She’s about 5 yrs old. She has serious separation anxiety. If we walked outside and left her in the house she would bark, rip, and destroy everything. She once ripped through a door and tried to jump through a window. We never leave for more than 4 hrs. She gets lots of exercise on our 6 acres. We have gone through 3 different metal crates. Since my husband works mornings and myself nights, she only gets left alone maybe 3 times a wk. She can’t be left alone outside because she can escape anything. We had her metal crate surrounded by bricks. We have brought her to a behavior specialist and they said our options were more visits or medications. Both expensive for our tight family of 4 budget. All we can think of to do is get, yet again, a different crate. We got her from a high kill shelter as a stray and she has always been like this. She is a great family dog, other than this problem. We love her very much.
