Celty is my current ferret, male/8 months old. I recently bought two others that are both 7 months old. When I tried showing one of the newcomers to Celty, he got very upset, and jumped and bit at the new one. He was definitely not playing, and I’d never seen him so aggressive. It was similar with the other new ferret. The two newcomers weren’t aggressive in return, either. One is male, the other is female.

So, my question is, what is the best way to introduce the newcomers to Celty/get them all used to eachother.

Im trying to convince my mom to let me get a ferret and she says that she doesnt want it in her house because it smells bad. How can I reduce it other than changing the litter often?

I dont want a really low mantience pet like a hamster, but I don’t think I am prepared to buy a ferret, and it is too expensive. What is a lower maintenance pet that has the same energy and is just as smart/fun?

My 3 year old male ferret is going on his 2nd week of shedding. He’s shedding a bit heavy this year and I was wondering how long does this usually last?

Our ferret is about 1 year and when he has to go to the bathroom he usually runs to his cage but sometimes he will just find a corner and go there. How can we get him to only go in his cage? Can you spank them? Im just annoyed that he wont stop. My other question is, when when we put him in his cage when we leave the house he looks so sad do you think he actually is. If hes in there too long hell start pulling on his cage, throwing a fit.

I’m looking into getting a pet and I’ve taken a liking to ferrets. However, I have a very low income and I’m not sure if I could afford to care for the fuzzy little guy.
