I adopted a dog a few months ago. I noticed a few days after we got him, a really bad urine smell on an area of carpet. I noticed it too late though because it was already dried up. I have tried, carpet cleaner and febreeze but it still stinks two months later! How can I make it go away?
I adopted this dog a few days ago and took him to the vet. He tested positive for heart worm. He is about one and a half years old. I am just so upset about this.
I’ve had my pet snake for a few years now and i just got a new pet box turtle a few days ago.
It’s a full grown box turtle and it’s too big for the snake to eat. I just didn’t want to put stress on either one of them.
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and we are not sure which one is peeing on our carpet. We are hoping someone can tell us a means to determine if it is a cat pee OR dog pee. Does it smell or look (i.e. stain) different? Are there test kits to determine this?
Second part to the question: Does anyone have any other ideas for how to identify which specific animal is peeing on the carpet? We’ve had all 4 of these animals for years and have no reason to suspect one of them over another. I’ve thought of video taping for long periods of time to catch the culprit, but video tapes don’t run for more than a few hours and the pee only happens every few days at most, so this would be a difficult method.
Any and all intelligent solutions would be greatly appreciated!
Hi. I have two 1year old FEMALE cats, that are siblings and have been together since birth. They were always very loving and affectionate towards each other. Let’s call them CAT 1 and CAT 2.
About a week and a half ago, CAT 1 had gotten out of the house (she is strictly indoor) and disappeared for 9 days before I found her at a neighbor’s house and took her home. CAT 2, though she seemed to miss her sister the whole time, instantly became VERY AGGRESSIVE, hissing and swatting at the other cat and refusing to be around her. She has also scratched and bit me and pooped under my bed, which she has never done.
Anyway. This all started when her sister cat finally came home. Does she not even smell familiar to her at all, and does she seem like a strange cat in her house? Or something? It seems sad, they used to be so close. Is there anything I can do to calm her down? Or is she just going to have to get used to her again, as if she really were just a new pet?
PS-
A side note. The house I just moved into about a month ago is -supposedly- haunted. I am skeptical but I admit to seeing, hearing and feeling some WEIRD things here, and I guess I can’t discount that as affecting the cats’ behavior, though CAT 2 only became angry a few days ago. Any thoughts?

My puppy chews through every toy we get her. We’ve tried rope toys, rubber toys, plasic bones, real bones, tennis balls, plush toys, frisbees, other soccer balls and volleyballs. Everything is usually gone in a few days. The thing about it is, if she chews up every toy, she starts munching on other things she’s not supposed to, like our shoes. Is there any really good, unchewable toys to give her? Or, how can I make her toys last?
When the litter’s fresh, everything’s fine. He uses the box; I scoop daily. After a few days, though, he starts pooping on the floor next to the litterbox. Is it because he can’t bear to step into a damp or smelly box? No, because he ALWAYS pees in the box (thank goodness!) So what’s the problem? Other than wasting litter by changing it too often, how can I get him to go in the box?
He is 3 years old. We have a 12-year old cat too — both are neutered males. I usually have 2 litterboxes going at a time that both cats have access to.

My pet rat has been on medication (baytril and Deoxycycline) for about 4 weeks now. Around week 2, I really started to see an improvement, and by week three, the vet said her bronchitis had gone, and that she was fine. She a few days ago, I noticed she was sneezing again, not as much, but still noticeably. She has 2 more days of meds left.
Is she sick again?! How can she get better, and then sick when she is still finishing her course of antibiotics?
Do you think it could be the change of the weather? (it’s been switching from hot to cold alot this past week)
BTW, I use Yesterdays News as her bedding, by I’m thinking of getting some cheap cotton t shirts and using those instead. Do you think it will make a difference?

I bought an eight-month old male dwarf rabbit about two weeks ago. he used to be curious and energetic and easy to handle, but a few days ago he had diherria and ever since has slept most of the day. sometimes he is irritable now, and poops a TON. is this behavior normal? could this be a sign that its time for him to be neutered? please help

So my mom just goes with everything my step dad says pretty much. I asked if I could get a dog a couple of nights ago and both of them said hell no. My mom was gone last night and I was talking to my step dad and he said if I were to get a dog I could only get an australian shepherd. I talked to my mom again tonight and told her what she said and now she is saying I Don’t Know. Better than a no huh? I have done a lot of research on the dogs, I have priced out how much the dog + supplies will be this first month for the bare minimum and the maximum. I got a range on how much food would cost each year (cost per pound of food, how much food they should be eating a month times 12(: ). I printed out the forms from rescue shelters and filled them out (I admit I had to much time on my hands today ) I found out their prices and what the adoption fees include. I really want this, I have for 5 years now. How can I persuade my mom to a yes, I need ideas fast because I want to get it before school starts (sept. 7th) I will be camping with my dad for a week, then I am home for a few days and I leave for a 2 week vacation. I want to get everything done and ready so I can get one soon after we get home. Well what are some tips on bringing her decision to a yes?
Ha, I planned on this being my dog for the most part(: I would pay for it and everything that it needs (with the exception of vet bills). I will walk it, feed it, play with it, deal with it at night. At this moment I have 0 saved up, I got my bare minimum price at 0 and maximum at around 0. I get allowance a month, that money will go towards dog food each month as well.
