I have a seven year old cat that always seems hungry , i feed it cat chow which has vitamins and other things that cats need at that age and the canned cat food friskies in the morning but he always seems to be hungry, he is never full. Is he stressed out because there has been a lot of changes here lately , some cats have been missing and i think he is looking for them . he is considered to be the alpha wolf , the oldest in charge so to speak. But he is a loving , gentle cat , never fights , has been nuetered so what is the problem?

i have 2 male cats (ages 8 and 1) and need to be sure that what am feeding them will not give them long-term problems (am feeding them wet canned Friskies). So far, had no problems but someone here said that i run the risk of urethra blockage later on in cat’s life.

I’ve checked all over Friskies and Purina’s web sites and I can’t seem to find this information. I’ve come across kcal for other Purina foods on Petsmart and Petco websites, but never Seafood Sensations, which is what my cat loves. She’s overweight, so I want to figure out just how much she should be getting rather than cutting back essentially at random. I need this number to do so though. While I realise Hill’s Science Diet would likely be a better choice to combat obesity, Hill’s gives her terrible gas and I don’t have a big enough place to live with it. Can anyone help me out?

Our cats won’t eat anything else! They act as if they are being abused when I give them a bowl of dry stuff. They got my wallet all tangled in knots because it takes virtually a car payment to feed them on a monthly basis. That’s right, we dish out 0.00 a month for FRISKIES! How can this be legal??? I can buy a can of tuna fish CHEAPER! My question is: Did somebody put some nicotine in FRISKES to make it so addictive? .

I was wondering if it would be okay to feed my kitten (4.5 months old) Friskies canned food if its not his main food. He mainly eats Nutrience Junior dry food which is a good kitten food, and I give him about 1 tablespoon twice a day (so 2 tbsp a day) of wet food.
So if its just a little bit like that it cant be that bad for him right?
I was questioning whether it was a good food or not bc i asked a question before on here and people were telling me how bad it is and other foods and i should by the expensive stuff if im a good owner. But the expensive stuff is tiny cans, and mostly pate.
My kitten likes chunks and slices better then pate, and Friskies has all types and big cheaper cans.
BesidesI cant afford the best of the best right now.

My Dog hates dog food and prefers my cats "Friskies" (any flavor) he’s tried 10 brands of well known dog food, I have been mixing in friskies just to get him to eat it so it doesn’t go to waste, but I want to just buy 2 bags of friskies at this point… He is a Papillion if that matters! I am just sick of him literally starving himself before he eats it, and for the last month he after him gettign very thin I started using friskies… So is this ok if he just eats friskies!?
Ok well he did starve himself, I had to take him to the vet because he went 3 days without eating anything… and my vet said there was nothing wrong with him after a very expensive visit there was still no answer… thats when I stoped with eukenuba which he was eating for the last year… He has never gotten sick or anything from friskies, but because of his lack of eating he is getting acid build up in his stomache and now and then he just vomits out stomache acid…
He also hates rice and chicken, I do need him to gain weight so maybe cat food wont be so bad if it is fatty… I can always give him the other vitamins after the fact… The only human food he really likes is potatoes in all forms… (so mixing in human food doesn’t help me to much)
my cats food is on the fridge, I never just give him all cat food, it’s mixed in with right now the brand is Beneful… about a month ago I learned he would eat friskies after months of this struggle my cats food fell on the floor and he loved it!!! Thats when I started this half and half mix of cat and dog food, but dog food just seems like a waste of my money since he hates it!
also I am not really overly concerned he is a clueless dog, I just pour his food and walk away I don’t care to make him a 5 star meal here people, I wouldn’t care if he hated it, just I don’t need a case of the movie "Thinner" happening to my dog! It’s not like I go crazy trying to find the food either I just grab the next thing on the shelf if the last led me to the same situation, but it seems the general answer is it is fine for him to eat friskies if it’s mixed in with some other dry food, so I will just continue as I am doing and just stick with beneful/friskies mix instead of going all friskies, thank you!

I currently feed my cats Friskies dry food (I have one cat that is a little over a year, and my male kitten is about 5 months old) I feed friskies because it’s not only for adults, according to the package you can feed it to adults and kittens (they eat out of each other’s bowls so it’s important to me I feed them the same brand). We were doing wet food in the morning and dry in the night. I’ve read other comments that friskies is not good food…but I’m not sure what else to buy. I need something that I can feed to adults and kittens! When Jack (the 5 mo old) is an adult I was thinking of switching to science diet b/c that’s all we feed my dog (at my parents house) and that’s a good brand. I don’t trust the people at Banfield for suggestions, so I was hoping to get a cat expert to help me out here! Thanks
Does the wellness line have kitten food? How do I get them to not eat out of each other’s bowl? I don’t allow them, but sometimes they don’t eat all their food at once. I can’t stand their the entire time…

He was against the idea of better quality cat foods from the start! We originally had the cat on cans of Wellness trout and salmon and wellness CORE. He kept saying it was too expensive and it is totally pointless and the cat doesn’t care what she gets.. One day my boyfriend was so fed up with with this so called "nonsense" when Tigger was out of food I asked if my BF could go get him a few cans of Wellness for her. Since I was picking my little nephew up from preschool. Instead he bought a big bag of purina cat chow and 6 cans of friskies. He opened the bag so I wouldn’t be able to take it back and he gave the cat cat chow and friskies. And he said to Tigger as he looked at me "See Tigger" no need for the fancy smancy cat food. I bet this stuff is no different! I’m so mad at him! How can I help guide him in the right direction!
Oh and when I rushed to the bowl and snatched it away from Tigger my BF laughed at him and texted his friends about it. But purina is such a crappy food! it has fillers and dead,dying,and,diseased animal meat that had been rejected for human consumption. It is over all a disgusting food. I read the book "the food pets die for" and now I vowed to never feed those products again.
I gave him MY money to buy cat food so i’m not sure what he is so bothered about.

Last night i was watching tv and Friskies commercial came up i thought it was very cute the kitty in some kinda of wonderland lol i absolutely love this commercial even though i know the food isn’t that great (unfortunately) but besides that they did a good job with the commercial and the little song

I wonder why good quality food such as Wellness doesn’t have a commercial

A couple of weeks ago, my cousin brought me a 25LB bag of Friskies dry food for my kitties. I still had some of my generic dry left so I fed all of it first. Four days ago, I opened the Friskies and they have only eaten 2 cups of it since and normally they eat 2 cups per day! I’ve run out of my own canned tuna to feed them so now I’m REALLY worried.

ANY ideas as to how to get them to eat more of it?

Well the two females are eating it, but my male is the one who REALLY REALLY HATES it! Guess I’ll leave it out for the girls and have something else for my male. Thanks everybody for the GREAT assistance, wish I could choose ALL of you!
