I am about to plant a front gated yard with decorative grass which is water tolerant and doesn’t need much upkeep,I’m thinking to use either walk on bark or something else. My tenants have small dogs i wonder if this will bother the dogs or the ground cover? Does dog urine harm soil or leave a stench? Can sprinklers eliminate the odors?

I saw an aquarium on youtube that had what looked like grass on the bottom of the aquarium. I also saw vesuvius sword plants. Do any of you know what the grass is called? And where can I get it and the vesuvius sword plant? I have a 55 gal long aquarium.

My vet likes to answer "myths" about pet health and I was wondering if you guys had any?
For example:
Dogs eat poop because their diet is lacking nutrition.
Cats eat grass because they are sick.
Use oil for mange. (btw oil is toxic)
Cats get fat once they are "fixed."
Dawn Dishsoap kills fleas.
etc.
Thanks, and have fun!

I found a wild birds egg this morning and brought it in because it was in the wide open in the grass not near a nest or anything. If it helps the egg is all white and small about an inch long and half inch wide. Currently I have the egg in a plastic bowl on a towal that is sitting on a heating pad which is on low. I keep feeling the egg to make sure its not hot or cold. I just want to take care of the egg untill I find someone who can come and get it to take propor care of it. So what should I do and what shouldnt I do to take care of it?

My brother-in-law was following my dog around the other day and hosing down the grass every time she peed. My husband says the reason for the myth are two-fold: males spray posts, etc., and the urine disperses, and my brother-in-law exacerbates the problem by using nitrogen fertilizers.
Comments?

I have 2 medium dogs, a 50 lb female and an 85 lb male. After reading that first sentence, maybe they’d be considered large dogs. They are shepard (and who knows how many other things) mixes. There are so many products out there to give a dog to neutralize their urine so the grass doesn’t turn brown. I am wondering which brand is the safest for the dogs, and works the best for the grass. Thanks

Our dog urinates in our yard and it discolors the grass. Unfortunately she has a submissive urination problem, so every time you approach her when she has to urine, she sees the approach as a challenge and shows her submission by urinating. That makes it difficult to leash her and walk her away from the lawn. Any suggestions on how to treat the grass where she’s urinated to remove the discoloration?
