I can’t find anything detailing what hamsters need, other than a good temperament and even-colored fur. While I’m not particularly interested in showing my hamster, I’d like to know if he’s show-quality. I’ve trained him to come when called, even.

I keep hearing if you touch a newborn hamster your scent will get attached yo you and the mother will abandoned them or eat them? Which is likely that the mother will do in percent please. But anyways, does the mother eat the hamster whole like a tator tot? Or Just pick at it and you know…ripping and stuff like we do when we eat cooked fish? And why do the fathers eat them if you haven’t even touched them? I’m getting hamsters and are planning on breeding them.
What kind of dwarf hamsters can live together?
I’m thinking about getting to dwarf hamsters from pet co and I was wondering if I can keep 2 in a cage together. And I would like my dwarf hamsters to be friendly and I want to be able to hold them which breed should I get?

I read all the time that, when breeding hamsters, you should separate the male and female at a certain time. But I also read about how great hamster dads are, and recently saw a video with a hamster daddy helping the mommy, too. Someone, please explain.
I put two baby hamsters with an older hamster i had bought but he’s like 3 times bigger than the baby ones. The big hamster kind of chases them and then the baby hamsters squeak and pretend to die then they get up and go on living. In the future they will get along?

My hamster lives with another Syrian, and I found out that they shouldn’t be together today. Right now I’m keeping them away from each other until I can one a new cage. One of the hamsters has around three or four scabs on his lower back, but seems to be doing just fine otherwise. I know that its from the other hamster, but what should I do to treat his scabs?
