What can i do to keep my hamster from escaping my cage i have the Crittertrail X, before i bought it i didn’t read the reviews on how all the hamsters escaped the cages.:P Also What can i do to prevent my hamster from being lonely?
I just got him three days ago.
How he escapes is he opens the wire door.He is a 3 month old teddy bear hamster.

I might be getting 2 dwarf hamsters. But my mum says if i get 2 then they will either fight or make babies. But ive heard that if you get 1 then they will get lonely and die quicker please help!

I have a cairn terrier, a hunting dog, therefore it needs to be able to be in my room and have a small cage. One that doesn’t smell.

Also what is the differences in a boy and girl hamster, other than the fact they are different genders.

Do hamsters need to live in groups?
Are they nocturnal?

I just got two male chinese dwarf hamsters and I really want cute names for them that correspond like salt and pepper. My brother suggested salt and pepper but I want some more choices.

Please help! I really want a dwarf hamster, but my mom does not like rodents, and my dad says no. I have already read several books on hamsters, and I am sure that I am prepared for one. What can I do to get my parents to let me have a hamster?

My two hamsters are getting along better now(Thankfully) and i was thinking of getting a rat too if it’s ok with my dad. I’m just wondering if I would be able to have them all in one big cage, or keep them in separate ones.
