if my hamsters mate and have babies should i leave the babies with the mother or what should i do???? like seperate them at older age??? PLEASE ANSWEAR

My two hamsters had babies and we took the dad away from the mother and his babies so that he wouldn’t impregnate her again. He seems so depressed now that he’s alone and he used to be a really happy hyper hamster. He will just lay in the corner of his cage for hours and he doesn’t exercise as much anymore. I really doubt it’s a medical problem because he was perfectly fine before separation.

my hamsters always find a way to get out of their cage. they are regular golden hamsters. we’ve tried taping the door, tying it…. and when they get out, they find small holes and crawl around and poop and eat everything. any help or tips are highly appreciated:)

Ive read on a internet site that you can give chinese dwarfs cat treats/ biscuits because it wears down their teeth e.t.c Has anyone ever given dwarf hamsters dreamies cat treats or go-cat biscuits e.t.c also could you give me some examples on how to stimulate my hamsters since they only go on their wheel and hardly ever use my gnawing sticks i buy them?

I have two robo dwarf hamsters I got in January in separate cages. Now they usually sleep under their water bottles that drip a little. I also have noticed that their fur is getting darker and they’re not grooming as much as they used to. Are they sick? What should I do?

I read the Roboskii hamsters are orginally from Gobi Desert in Mongolia. So I’m planning to use a base layer of the normal Carefresh bedding and top bedding of sand. Is it ok? I just want my hamsters to feel as much as its nature habitat as possible. I can only get beach sand though. Thanks.
