Is the a health insurance company that only covers veterinary services maybe called "FidoCare" or "BluePaws BlueTails" or maybe "Good dog health"
or do pet owners pay their veterinarians in full for medical necessity for their dog or cat?
I was wondering this for a long time since people have health insurance to cover their medical costs; is having a pet a bigger expense than some people think?

I have 3 dogs. 2 chihuahuas & a Shar Pei. My chihuahuas are really healthy and never have problems, but they are 10 years old. My Shar Pei has ongoing health issues. Would pet health insurance be worth it? I have no idea what they cover or options.

Last I checked, my dog didn’t have health insurance. And you know what? Medical procedures aren’t terribly expensive if the doctor is the one who sets the price, independent of insurance companies. And I can check out multiple vets before having work done, which means they’re forced to compete for my business. Reasonable pricing through market competition for a service that requires an extremely high level of education. Can anybody tell me why we shouldn’t just get rid of ALL health insurance, make people pay as they go for what they need, and make the people doctors compete like animal doctors? Shouldn’t we demand the same level of service my dog gets?

Is there health insurance for pets and if so how much would this cost for a healthy 12.5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix?
Is it possible/feasible to get organ transplants for pets?
My dog is healthy now, but since he is getting old now I want to plan ahead.

Who gave them this constitutional authority? Can anyone show any of us where it is written down that they have the power to do this? And what is next…mandatory pet insurance? Mandatory organ donation? How about mandatory blood donations to the Red Cross? I mean they are in the business of helping people just like Congress is supposed to be doing, right? How about mandatory Dental Insurance? Where does it stop?
Jesse…I beg to differ. Every citizen will be required to have health insurance, or pay a penalty. It’s in the bill. Look it up! What’s next…every citizen will be required to wear brown shirts to work?

I just bought a Golden Retriever puppy 8 weeks old with first shots and first vet checkup. I know that hip/elbow dysplasia are common and expensive so before I pick her up, I am making the up a contract for the breeder to sign stating that she will pay for any medical expenses regarding dysplasia so that is covered.
With dysplasia already covered, is it worth buying puppy/dog health insurance? Who is a good company to buy through?

I adopted an English bulldog, she is already spaid and up to date on her shots, but she is 6 years old and has already had knee surgery, i do not have alot of money to take the chance of her getting sick and i was aware of the fact bulldogs have a lot of health issues when i adopted her, so i want to be safe and get health insurance, how does it work and if you have it does it pay off well?
Andrei, that makes no sense at all…. i mean HEALTH insurance for the pet.
