Is the the same thing? I took my cat to the vet Friday to have him neutered, but on the receipt it said "feline castration". And it looks like he doesn’t have his testicles anymore or that they’re a heck of a lot smaller! I was reading stuff on here about it and some people say that when a cat gets neutered, he is castrated, but some say that castration and neuter or two different things? If they are two different things, should I be upset with my vet because I specifically said "neuter".
Any answers will be appreciated!

Question about 4.5 month old kitten. Eats mainly dry food (Hills Science formula) and, more recently, some wet food (Purina) to give him a little variety and different nutrients.
I read somewhere that cats eating dry food don’t need their teeth brushed – is this true?
I thought I saw a black mark on his teeth when he yawned today – I actually don’t think it’s anything but it got me thinking, should you brush your cats teeth? And, if so, how the heck do you go about it? Do you use a brush? Which toothpaste (if you use that) is best?
Sorry, first time cat owner. Did ask vet about it when kitten was 9 weeks and had his shots and I think he said not to worry about it, although he maybe didn’t mean not to worry about it forever…
Thanks.

For the heck of it I thought I would try and pull out three hairs from my cat to see how easy they come out. They came out so easy I was in shock. I did not think they would come out. I noticed cat hair floating around in the room so that made me wonder.
Now I wonder if I should brush her. Do people brush their cats? She has medium length hair so it is long. I just never thought about brushing a cat’s hair. If I did this, would it help her to stop shedding. Thanks.

She has a bunch of mats and she doesn’t take care of them and so now i am trying to get her all spiffed up and cute looking again because she looks like a street cat. Problem is every time I try to she scratches the heck out of my hands. How can I calm her down enough to get her taken care of. Her nails hurt pretty bad.

My daughter has fallen in love with a stray kitten and we are wanting to keep it. We have two old dogs, a schnauzer and a mutt, that we love dearly. What is the best way to introduce the kitten to the house without all heck breaking loose? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am moving into my very own spectacularly beautiful apartment tomorrow and because of this, my once indoor/outdoor cat will become an indoor cat thus producing the need for a litter box. I let my animals do whatever the heck they want (gosh) but I draw the line when it comes to eating feces. SO, what am I supposed to do about the litter box? My dog is 49 pounds and insanely smart and acrobatic. Thanks for being you and answering my short and to the point question.

maybe consider NOT importing ingredients for pet food and maybe, just maybe, start buying things manufactured here? So what if it’s cheaper to get it from overseas or Canada – look at the money that the pet food companies that used that tainted wheat gluten will shell out now in damages plus loss of use of product – because who the heck will buy their product again. I will never trust them. Thank God I didn’t buy any of it. The brand I use was fine – so far that is. You never know. And what is scary, that stuff is used for human consumption also.
