I want the best for my indoor, 7yr old female Manx cat. I have been feeding her weight control formula Purina One, but I know the IAMS is nearly 3 times as much for the same quantity. Is it that much better? Why?
Is canned Tuna in water a good supplement every 5 days or so?
I spent to rescue her from the local shelter.

She had never had a seizure before and these were bad, just kind of fell over, loss of bladder control, eyes rolled back ,bit her tongue badly. Took her to the Vet where extensive tests were done concluding that she had Thyroid problems and an irregular heartbeat. Cleaning out my pantry I found 2 cans of the Beef vegies in Gravy, this is typically what she eats along with dry. Could tainted dog food caused these seizures? I ran up K in tests over the following week trying to get an answer. Is there a test my Vet can perform to determine if it was the dog food and what recourse do I have against Iams if in fact it was the food?

i am very upset, my cat was only 10 years old and she died of sudden kidney failure. Her most recent diet was set on Iams biscuits. I really don’t know what could have caused this. After looking on some websites, some have said that Iams is not a good food to feed your cat. Has anyone else experienced this?

Changed slowly 75% old To 25% new he seems to itch some not alot just enough. Brushing up against bushes stuff like that. I,m not too worried yet to take him to the vet. Dont see any sploches or anything. I hope he isnt allergic to the ingredients. Could it be the change to the (better) food thats doing it until all the iams is out of his system.

Don’t get me wrong, I want the best for my kitties, but IAMs is expensive. Cheap foods make their doo doo smell really bad though…
I could do something slightly cheaper, and not Walmart brand. Oh and people, quit being so rude!

I want to stop feeding my cat iams because I found out about there cruel animal testing in labs but i dont know what else to feed her because its the only thing she will eat and im not going to starve her. Even the vets recommend it but i dont want to buy it anymore!

Can someone help me or tell me what cat food brands do not test on animals in cruel labs

I want to adopt a papillon puppy and I read that Pedigree, Iams, and Purina are not good to give to dogs because they don’t have the nutrition that both puppies and dogs need. What type of dry dog food is healthy and safe for them?

I’m getting a Persian kitten this week. He eats IAMS. I just wanna know how many times it should be served food. He’s almost 4 months old. Also, how much is a 4LB pack of IAMS dry kitten food?
Someone here just answered that I shouldn’t feed my kitten with IAMS. Why? What’s wrong with IAMS?
