Winter is driving me nuts its going to be -20 Friday… Ugh! So im planning some fun stuff for spring/summer.

What are some things you are planning to do with your dog next summer? And do you need to buy anything in order to do so?

Next summer im going to be doing a lot of hiking and biking with my Aussie dog. I am planning to get:

Jenny, A car harness is a GREAT idea! Mine wears one while in the car at all times. It has saved him from flying to the front seat twice so far (once when i braked for a deer and once for a drunk guy running across the street)

To get him used to the car, start by just getting him in, praise and you get in. (dogs should always be in the back seat -air bags kill) then get back out and lots of praise. Do this and then start the car, back out of car, praise ect… back out of driveway… around the block, short 5 minute drive. Keep increasing time slowly so he stays likeing it.

Also go to the vet just to say "hi" pick up frontline/heartguard ect.. So that the vet isnt always a bad place. My dog LOVES going to the vets office!

My cat is 12 lbs and 9 years old, she’s healthy just a bit tubby. I thought wet food was supposed to have more nutrients but today I was told it would better to feed my kitty dry food instead of wet to help her weight loss. Is that legit? Why would my vet tell me to feed her more carbs?

I’m pretty bored and was wondering if you’re dogs are kept solemny as pets or do something else. This is hard to explain but I mean, do you show your dogs? Do you train them for something? For what? Do they do therapy?

My Whippet does agility, obdience training and recently was accepted as a therapy dog. My Shih Tzu did obdience early on in life, though we gave up, and agility, though we gave up as well. Nowadays she’s only a therapy dog…

if you see someone answer a question about feeding their dog iams or pdeigree or purina, they get bombarded with tds. honestly, are we so immature that we td people who feed the dog lesser quality food?

and to make this legit, what do you feed YOUR dog?

i feed nutro and im aware that its not the best, but i tried canidae and it literally sucked, sucked the weight off my dogs.

My 7 yr old shih tzu has seizures sometimes. Not often, but she’s very hyper and nervous. My vet prescribed Valium for her, but they are expensive.

We’re about to make a move soon and I know that she will be extra nervous. Are there any legit pet med pharmacies online that I can order them for her? It’s a scary thought because I want to make sure she gets the right med and not a placebo, but I can’t afford the ones her vet gives her.
