8 months ago my cat caught a wild baby bird from its nest, which I raised ever since. A few months ago our avian vet diagnosed him with calcium deficiency and general weakness. Even though I gave him a daily dose of calcium he became weaker and lethargic. Few days ago we detected multiple fractures on legs and wings, if correctly treated, could these fractures heal? I will take him to the vet again but would like to know if there is any hope at all, that a bird can survive multiple fractures..

My sister noticed a little patch of ringworm on her leg about a week ago and now it has spread all over her torso and the top part of her legs. She has been using monistat for several few days and it hasn’t helped at all. If it doesn’t go away in about a week or so, she is going to go to the doctor. Do you know of any home remedies that work? Especially over such a large area? Thanks!

I have a 4yr old mix about 20lbs, he has luxtating patellas with both legs, and 1 luxtating hip, developing arthritis. he also had muscle spasms in his neck a few weeks, the vet hopes it was just from jumping weird. He is on joint supplements, which have helped him greatly
I am looking in to getting him an orthopedic dog bed since he needs a new bed anyhow, and was wondering if they really help. Looking for answer from someone with experience of these beds.

I vaguely remember a book from my childhood that centers around a witch (or mean old lady, not sure exactly) that lived in the woods, and her house was held up on bird legs? I believe she lured kids to her home and ate them or something like that. It was illustrated and was pretty good from what I can remember. Does anyone know the name of the book I’m describing?

Isabelle is a Chihuaua by the way. Shes the tallest one you would ever see. Shes part pug, so she has super model legs, everyone says she looks like a baby deer.

My ferret is playful and fun to watch, but she gets really boring really fast. Sugar’s about 6 and a half months, so she is rowdy. I’d like her to be more calm and loveable, and more like a companion than boring on legs. Any tips?

I have low blood pressure. About 3-4 times a day, I get really lightheaded and my leg muscles get rigid. When this happens I sit down on the ground, and she lays across my legs. while the rigidness usually lasts over a minute, when she lays there it only lasts 4-5 seconds. She also helps me down on the ground. could this qualify her as a service dog?

Cats will brush their heads agaisnt out legs when we come home to show that we belong to them and to mark us with their scent. What is the purpiose of claiming us or marking us with their scents? Is it to show that they love us?

I went to a pet store 3 weeks ago and purchased a rare blue male Doxie. It was not an impluse buy; I wanted a Doxie; Maltese or Beagle so I was happy when I saw one. There was actually two: blue male and blue femalw but I wanted to buy him for breeding purposes as I recently opened a small kennel of Doxies. I currently have 3 female Doxies and a male and wanted a new addition. I know a bit about puppy mill dogs and asked the pet store where they come from, owner said rep. Doxie breeder in Missouri.
He is currently 15 weeks old and is limping, supporting himself on his two front legs, back two are a bit stiff; hard to move. He has keenel cough and gave him meds that I gave one of my female Doxies when she was 8 weeks, his skin is PEELING off and becoming BALD, he has yellow discharge from the eyes. I went back to the shop and told them this; they said it would all clear in a few days. They gave me meds for the cough and anti-biotics for eye. Checked him over with THEIR vet, said he…
…was the healthiest Doxie they’ve sold in 9 years! The people at the pet store (not the vet) told me that all Doxie pups shed their fur at 10-20 weeks old; I said that I’ve raised Doxies before and I know thry don’t; lady said that I don’t know enough about Doxies to know that. I was offered back (paid 0 for him – reduced from 00), free de-sexing at 6 months old and a free Kong toy worth .99!!!!! I was told that I should be happy to get all this free stuff, a reduced puppy and a very RARE, one-of-a-kind BLUE Doxie.
I’ve never seen a blue Doxie before my puppy (named Seal) – can anybody give me information about Blue Doxies? I told the pet shop that I wanted to breed and they said that if I breed him with a red Doxie, I can get red, black and blue puppies; is this true?
He is so special to me and my kids!
Also, he has lost his appetite almost completely. Only eats little bits every 6-7 hours even though the food is always left out for him ONLY – he is very thin.
I asked for registration papers (they said he was registered with the AKC), ceritficates of health from parents and a certification from a vet clearing both parents of hereditary diseases. They said I would get it in the post in a months time. I gave them my cell number, home number, work number, moms house number and my adress but no mail or phone call!!
Oh and by the way, they told us he has to come to THEIR vet until he is one year old or they will take him away from me and make all these claims to pet stores not to sell a pup to me because I didn’t follow their agreement?
