Do they just sort of know to use it, like with a litter box? Or does it take a bit more to get them comfortable with it? I’ve never used catnip with my kitten, and I’m not sure if I want to due to my not knowing much about it. If there’s away around it, I’d like to use it. :]

I’m adopting a cat and I need everything- litter box, scratching post, etc….
I said "inexpensive" not "cheap" for a reason… and. i think most parents do bargain shop for children’s toys, clothes, food, etc.

There isn’t anywhere for the litter box to be on a table or hidden area. The dog has plenty of food. Her food does not have animal digest in it since I read that animal digest is poop and will give dogs a taste for it.

She will use the litter box in the usual way, but she’ll paw at the inside side of the box for up to 5 minutes before moving on. There isn’t any damage to the box; her claws just make a lot of noise (epsecially at 3 AM). If I shoo her off, she’ll just return after I’ve made myself comfortable again. And she does it even if the box has just been cleaned. Would there be anything to make it unpleasant for her? I thought of taping sandpaper up, but that’s just an idea.
OK, people, READ THE DETAILS! Sorry, but it seemed nobody saw that she scartches the inside of the SIDE of the box. She isn’t even moving litter around, she’s scraping plastic. And this is my fault: I didn’t mention that she has a scratching post that she uses. I don’t want to declaw her for a simple annoyance; I was hopin for a home remedy.

My husband and I have found a pile of poop in our basement every time one of us cleans and/or changes the litter box. The cat starts using the litter box again right after that. Any ideas why or what we can do?

We do have 2 cats, but we have multiple litter boxes. Any ideas why or what we can do?

I have one cat. I got laid off (trying to start my own business) and I’m on a tight budget now. I went with the cheapest litter now at Wal-Mart and my cat is fine with that. I use to use that non clumping expensive litter. I don’t want any odors or anything to build up. I use the 25 lb bag in an extra large litter box for him.

How can I get ringworm out of my house?

We have been battling ringworm on my cat for about 7 months. Sometimes he goes 2 months with none. He has taken fulvicin and had antifungal baths. I have bleached what I can in my house. I am not throwing out my new furniture or my carpet. I tried cleaning the rugs- even adding a little bleach. I am pregnant and if we don’t get rid of it soon my husband says the cat has to go. (We don’t want our baby getting it) But who can I get to adopt a cat with ringworm. I need help. What else can I do?
I have talked to the vet, they are the ones giving the baths. (and no I don’t change the litter box, my husband does) If the spores can live for 18 months, how do I get rid of them? I am not just taking my cat to the shelter, so getting rid of him is not that easy.
