I was wondering if pet hair affects your health. Because I have a dog with long hair and my mom won’t let me keep him in my room because she is afraid that the dog’s hair will harm my health while sleeping and it will get into my lungs. Is this true?
We have been preparing our own dog food (chicken, beef, veggies, rice) for the past 2 years. Recently we were told that they probably are not getting the vitamins & nutrients that they need. Because of that (and the fact that it’s become a real bore fixing their food) we’re switching them to dry food. Two dogs- a smoothie and a long hair. The long hair is SO picky about everything he eats, and we’re struggling – big time. What is a good, nutritional dry dog food? We figure if we introduce it to him and stick with it, he’ll HAVE to eat sooner or later…
I hate when My hair or scalp dosent smell fresh I was wondering wats the best long lasting shampoo with the best smell? And are there any steps I should follow or tips? Like How i should wash my hair? with hot water or cold? And the main question is what are the best steps to follow while shampooing your hair? By the way I have long hair, wavy.
I have a 17 pound long hair cat. He always gets mad when i brush him. I’ve changed the brush twice, but he just doesnt like the idea of being brushed, especially where he needs it most (like his butt). At most he lets me brush him for no more then 2 minutes. If we hold him or brush him longer he gets really really angry. He’ll hiss, growl, bite and swat!
He’s now starting to get dreads and I dont know what to do. Is it best to take him to a groomer or is there some cat secret to brushing him?

Thank all of you, but guys you dont understand, he is a beast. We pet him, hold his neck, his legs, and he freeks. I think shaving him might be the best way to go. Yah! Let the groomers do it. Poor poor kitty.
I have a long-hair mix-breed. I brush him to remove the dead fur, keep him comfortable, and reduce hairballs. But how do I keep the fur from flying all over while I brush? I’ve tried collecting it with a damp cloth, but that just makes a mess. I’ve tried feeding it to a running vacuum while I brush, but the motor scares the cat. I can’t take him outdoors. Ideas?
They aren’t any worse than people with long hair and kids who pee in the water. You can get sick from a person who didn’t wipe good enough.

I have been buying Nutro for my cat for most of his life. He is a 3 year old male cat. I started hearing rumors that Nutro is bad for the cat and that they have been doing recalls. The reason I’m concerned is because my cat a year ago, has started vomiting every other week. So should I stop buying Nutro or is it just a silly rumor?
If it helps, he is a siamese/tabby.

Almost every night, my kitten will run up my pants and climb on my shoulder. She then purrs and sort of digs into my long hair. And then she just sits there, sometimes falling asleep. Why does she do that?
