i’m about to invest 50 bucks in the smartcat ultimate scratching post, before I do, does anyone have a cheaper brand suggestion of the same quality or should I just make the investment? Also, is sisal really safe for their nails, because it looks like that material would break their nails and do most cats like this material?

I am going to start up my on grooming business and this is the flyers I want to post I also have a coupon for 5.00 off a groom. Would you get your dog groomed by me if I put this in your mail box ,would you even read it becuase its a random paper. Would it be better to put it on peoples door nob. ok so here is the flyer.

I have business cards ,but its dark when I get home so I rlly can;t hand them out then I can only do that on weekends but thats when I get all my groomings done. I do have a website but don;t wanna put it on here becuase it has all my info on it. no its illiagal to take somthing out of other peoples mail box I called the police just to ask the question they said tampering with other peoples ”mail” is against the law not the mial box its self if so lawn people would get arressted becuase they touvh it to get the grass away form it all the time. the name I thought of first was pretty paws dog grooming but it was taken in my area *tear* so I had to change it or I would egt sued. I have read many things on attracting cousomers and every website said flyers. I planned on posting them at vets and eptco/petsmart ,but I htink they would take them down becuase they also do grooming and wouldn’t want the compotition. I know some places that would let me put my bussiness cards on their desk….

I would like to start a pet grooming service, like I would brush them, brush their teeth, wash them, and clip their nails. But how would I start?! I’m completely lost on what I would need to start the business. I would obviously need a brush or two, shampoo for dogs and cats, toothbrushes, pet toothpaste, etc.I don’t think I would clip them, and shave their hair or stuff because I just can’t do that.
So what stuff do I need to start the business?
What should I name the business?
Where should I get my supplies?

If I try to trim my cat’s nails she’ll scratch me and won’t allow me to do it, but I need her to stop clawing my mom’s leather furniture and the wooden cabinets. She doesn’t like the rope scratching posts. Can someone recommend a good post that will dull her nails so they aren’t so sharp and something she’ll be likely to use instead of the furniture, thanks

I’m 14 and I have loved animals all my life I have currently 3 dogs, 1 cat, and 3 hermit crabs.I am interested in getting a job in pet grooming when I’m 16.Will hey hire me at 16?What should I do NOW that i could put on my resume(EX. like volunteer work at a zoo).I don’t wan to run my own business really because my grandma did that and she hated it i would probably work at a groomers shop.How much do groomers like that get paid.If someone could answer all these question i would be very thankful!

I just got a rabbit and I know that you have to clip their nails but how long do they have to be before I cut them?

Also I’ve heard that alot of people put their rabbits on feeding schedules and that it is a good idea. I have been thinking of putting my rabbit on a feeding schedule but why? I mean what is the purpose?

First of all, I wanna apologize if this is in the wrong catagory. I dont know where else to put it…I just completed college in studying for pet grooming. So now I have two options work as a trainee for 200 hours or find someone who will hire me in this profession. although I’m having trouble finding a place in Jacksonville, North Carolina who will let me be their trainee and/or hire me because i am not 18. The only thing on grooming that I am skeptic on is poodles. I am confident in bathing and grooming cats and dogs. I’ve washed my cats as well as dogs trimmed their nails and have shaved mats out of one of my cats fur before. So I do believe I could go straight to working as a pet groomer with a little training I’d be just fine. But back to my question does anyone know of a pet grooming salon kennal animal hospital etc who would be willing to hire me as a pet groomer in jacksonville North Carolina without me being 18? Sorry that the question is so long -_-

My cat will not use her scratching posts, but she does rake her nails across cardboard boxes, but I’ve noticed how long they are and how sharp. Does my cat need her nails cut? Or is scratching them on cardboard enough?
