My neighbors have a dog named Rock Star. The dog is not disciplined, so I’m always hearing the teenage daughter outside yelling, "Here Rock Star!" and "Rock Star, come HERE!". and "NO! Rock Star, NO!"

I’m starting out as a babysitter in june (after my holiday). I was just wondering how much I should be charging. I live in a kinda rich area, so the people around here can certainly afford it. I was asking around, but none of my friends babysit. My mum asked her friend whose daughter babysits, and she charges £5 an hour. I was also looking on a website for local babysitters, and all the ones in my area were either old, or charged between £6-£8 per hour. I’m just branching out for the neighbors, who all have small children, so it’s just a local business. I have first aid and CPU training, I’m good with pets and I’m pretty good at amusing small children for extended periods of time.
So how much should I be charging? Should a do a first-hour introductory discount? Or a discount for a whole evening or a whole day?

I am going across the state on my fall break from college. The only problem that I don’t know what to do is about my betta fish. I really don’t want to leave him home alone for five days, despite people telling me he will be fine. How should I transport him 6 hours by car? Or should I just leave him at my apartment with some extra food? None of my neighbors will be home to feed him, I don’t know what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thank you

I have had a pet door for 16 years and the Homeowner’s Association wants it removed. No complaints ever. I had a fire in 2000; before there were pillows in the open window with an opening so the cat could come and go. In fact, it saved him from the fire. After the fire my son put in a white paintd board with the pet door inserted. It looks nice. My place has woods in the back with a privacy wall on each side. No one can see it. There are neighbors with birdfeeders and they complain about the cats. My cat has NEVER gotten a bird. However, birds are free and cause disease and the seed molds. Plus, it is a balance of nature. My cat is 16 and I would hate to decrease his quality of life at this stage. Please advise me what to do.

My husband and I recently moved into a new house and it seems the previous owners left behind the family pet. The cat has been living on our roof and she apparently has kittens with her. We found them in the backyard on Friday (after she kicked ‘em off the roof). We’ve claimed one as our own and the neighbors have claimed the others. Soo….
How hard is it to litter box train a kitten. I’d say he’s probably 9 weeks old. He’s definitely been weened (if that’s what you call it). We have him in the laundry room right now because I don’t want him to ruin my carpet. So how do I do it and how long does it normally take??
Thanks for all the smart answers! I should’ve clarified that we do let him out of the laundry room, when we’re awake/at home. My husband likes to play with him more than I do! Anyways, yes I’m definitely sure he is a HE.

Our neighbors have a dog and we have 2 small dogs. They run up and down the fence and bark the whole time they are out there. I know for certain the other family is not interested in reining in their dog but I hate having my dogs out there barking even though their barks are quite soft in sound. I want them to stay on the porch or at least away from the fence. Is there anything I can do to get my dogs to stop? Perhaps a silent whistle?

I have stopped putting in food but he still comes everyday. I don’t want to hurt him or make problems with the neighbors. He runs to the woods every time I go in back. I miss seeing all the pretty birds.

I have a huge outside dog and he breaks EVERY collar out there. He actually snaps the metal. He will not stay inside the house for more than an hour and demands to go back out. Every time he breaks his collar, the neighbors call the dog catcher and I ‘m facing fines.

I need to get some more flea prevention for my 10 month old shih-tzu. We just moved into a house with 3 outdoor cats next door and some less-than-clean neighbors.
Is it alright if I get it from Petco? Which kind is the best? I’m not sure which kind came from the vet, although I guess I could always call and ask…but the internet is easier (lol I will call the vet relax, I’m no troll)
Thanks!
