I have a new cat liter box that has a lid on it so the sand doesn’t leave the box and the smell usually is contained. My kitten that is 2 12 months doesn’t care. But my year and a half cat does. What should I do?
I am afraid the case is that my older cat doesn’t like lids… I think what I will do is leave the lid off for a while then place it on and see if it will be alright like that.

My new cat is a peach.
She LOVES her scratching post.
BUT, she uses it like 10 times a day!
My previous cat, and all my foster cats only used it once every few days.
If she’s not sleeping, eating or in the litter box, she’s scratching.
I’m not complaining, I just wonder if anyone else’s cat is the same.

Ok my dad just got a new cat and we have a small dog that loves to eat all her food. Will my dog get sick from the cat food, Because most dogs like to eat the cats BM and it has the same stuff in it.

I know you can get them from the box. However, my kitties do not go through nearly enough fast enough. My cats are rather spoiled, so the points will not be used for them. I donate a large number of items to my local shelter. Turning old towels in quilted blankets, buying discount fabric to make kennel blankets, and always lots of toys. My friends and i try to get a new cat tree to one local shelter every year as well. All this is just rambling, my main point was, does anyone know where i can get these codes, or perhaps some people out there have some of their own codes that they are not using. Let me know. You can respond here, or to my email m_16a2gunnerbabe@yahoo.com
These projects keep me busy while my husband is deployed. Take Care Everyone.

Will she use it after a while or do i need to put the old cat litter back in. Also I cleaned the the litter box out. before i put the new litter in.
thank
I ran out of litter so i had to buy some more. I thought the new brand Tidy cat would work better in my litter maid.
The old cat litter was fresh step.
Update: she just used the new cat litter.

We just got a new cat last month and I keep catching my cat (the first cat) peeing in the new cats litter box. They use the very same litter so I don’t understand. My cat never even used to go into the main bathroom where the new cats litter box is and now she walks right in, pees and walks back out. She’s done this at least 3 times that I know of.
Why? Is it a territorial thing?

I just adopted a new cat and as this is my first cat, I wasn’t sure what kind of cat litter to buy. I chose Tidy Cat clumping litter because it came in a big bucket that I plan on refilling with whatever litter I buy next. However, I noticed some pine litter that claimed to be environmentally friendly. I don’t think my adult cat would like it though because of its texture, so I’m hesitant to try it. But it has me asking – is the clumping litter not biodegradable?

I have always used fresh Step cat litter and never had a smell problem. This new cat has the most foul poo smell ever! He was a stray, could he just be getting used to the new food? I scoop it everyday and change the litter every three days. How do I cover-up the smell?
This cat has the worst most foul smelling poo ever! I have a covered litter box, and scoop it daily. I change the litter completely every 3 days(I use Fresh Step). I have taken the new kitty to the vet for a check up and everything is ok. He has an appointment to get neutered next week. He was a stray and maybe he is getting used to his new food. I am not sure. Please help me get rid of the smell!
