i have 8 parakeet and 2 cockatiel and been in there for 3 months now and i am thinking of making it even MORE wild for them but what stuff do i need to make it look wild? and they are in a VERY BIRD CAGE its about 17ft long,13ftw,and 9ft high.
Should I put grit in my parakeets bird cage and wood shavings at the bottom of the cage?

I read in a parakeet book that I should put grit in there food cups but I don’t know if I should.

My parakeet laid her eggs at the bottom of the cage and yesterday one of them hatched but from where it is, the chick keeps falling between the bars at the bottom of the cage. She’ll occasionally move it out but it keeps falling back. Should I place something down there to prevent the chick from falling down there?
Does putting a seed guard on a bird cage help prevent spilling outside the cage?

The reason why i am asking this for is because tomorrow i am getting a new bird cage for my parakeet it is a triple roof one because the current cage since i have him for 1 yr now is small and i was wondering if the putting a nylon mesh seed guard on his new cage will prevent spilling and the dimensions of the cage are 26X14X221/2 and what size nylon mesh seed guard to i need to buy also

How hot is too hot for a pet bird? I have a parakeet and a cockatiel that live on the top floor and they have their own room to fly around in (they would rather not be in a cage). It is going to get 100 today and all I have in there room is a window fan. I will be gone most of the day and want to make sure they will be ok. Does anyone know how hot a parakeet and cockatiel can be without them overheating. Any tips, ideas? Thanks!

I found a new born baby wild bird on my porch. I have 2 parakeet birds,male and female. I dont want it to die. Is it possible that maybe my 2 parakeets could nurture it and take care of it so it can survie? Because i dont know how to feed it.

My parakeet is a very slow eater and she her food sometimes lasts for a while, but I never know when to change it out. Due to my busy schedule I sometimes leave her for weeks and I don’t ever find the time to check it. I don’t want to neglect her in any way. How often should I check her food and water?
All I need to know is how often I need to check her food.
