She’ll occasionally move it out but it keeps falling back. Should I place something down there to prevent the chick from falling down there?

I have a parakeet and a cockatiel that live on the top floor and they have their own room to fly around in (they would rather not be in a cage). It is going to get 100 today and all I have in there room is a window fan. I will be gone most of the day and want to make sure they will be ok. Does anyone know how hot a parakeet and cockatiel can be without them overheating. Any tips, ideas? Thanks!
