I want a loving bird that’s not too expensive. We used to have parakeets who were kind of a bore but now we want to try English Budgies because they’re not that expensive and I hear they can talk, but what types of birds to you suggest for a 10 year old. Something that is entertaining and not too nippy at the touch.
I have two parakeets and am planning to get at least two more. I need a large cage for them, but everywhere I’ve looked wants an excessive amount for them. I’m just wondering where I could get a cage big enough for 4 parakeets without paying an arm and a leg. I’d also like to know somewhere to get toys, treats, food, etc. for cheaper that the pet stores. thank you!

I found a new born baby wild bird on my porch. I have 2 parakeet birds,male and female. I dont want it to die. Is it possible that maybe my 2 parakeets could nurture it and take care of it so it can survie? Because i dont know how to feed it.
Are there any like "signs" or clues to see if a parakeet if naturally kind and pet able? We’re going to the pet store to get new parakeets. I just want a bird my kids can pet happily!
In my parakeets cage the bottom grille is always in a state of dirtiness, no matter how much i clean it. Is there a good way to gett all of that dried bird poop off?

sorry if this is a dumb question lol but i’m really wondering, can newborn parakeets hop out of the spaces in a bird cage if they’re not inside a proper nest during the time they are growing?
and also, about how long does the mother stay with it’s baby parakeet until it’s safe for it to wander on it’s own?
thanks!..i wasn’t even thinking about breeding my birds. but today i came in the room and saw them mating on the perch! they don’t even have a nest! is there certain types of fruits i should put in the cage for the baby parakeet?
I’m thinking in buying two parakeets and perhaps to breed.
I would also like to know more about being a parakeet breeder?
Or just raising parakeets as companions.

i feel like the current cage i have is too small for two parakeets
its 18x14x20 by the way
and i dont feel like going back to the store and returning the cage and buying a new one just because i dont want to have to try and catch the birds and stick them in a small box for a while
