I have always wanted a pet turtle, and have literally tried everything i could think of to convince them. I babysit my neighbors pet lizard every day after school, and i take care of our pets (Cat and dog). They tell me that they don’t want a reptile, and make other excuses. I know that they might not want to spend money on a cage and stuff, but we’ve had fish in the past. any ideas to convince parents to get a pet turtle?

Here is the scenario….Female Chocolate Lab (10 months old), outside dog, she sleeps in a large breed dog house. How can i get a in-expensive(under ) dog bed that she cant chew it up and will keep her warm on cold nights..i live in Mississippi so it only may get down to 30 degrees on a cold cold winter night..(if it got any colder i would bring her inside).
I dont want her to drag her bed out if she gets bored and then start chewing it up…so state your answer about the dog bed then add on the answer to tell me how i can keep her dog bed in the dog house, but still be able to take it out if it needs to be washed…
thanks!
i know that labs are very active! i do play with her! every day!
And labs instinctively like to chew so i know what i am talking about!..p.s. cant bring my dog inside..she is to big and my parents said that i cant have her in there..
i already said that if it got really cold then i would bring her inside.. and it would be like 35 degrees before a lab would be like "whoa! its kinda chilly"

My parents are divorced, and I’ve wanted a dog my whole life. Neither of my parents want to have to take care of it though, so I was wondering if its cruel to take one with me when I go from my dads to my moms and vice versa. It would either be that or for 1/2 the week (excluding every other weekend) the dog would not be given much attention. My parents live within walking distance of each other, so I could make sure that at least once per every period Im at the other house, I could walk over and take it for an hour long run or something. Plus, at both houses my step siblings have their own dogs. (my step sister on my dads side has her own and my step brother on my moms side has his own) so the dog would have another dog to play with. (Sorry this whole thing sounds so confusing. To clarify, im at my dads from mon-wed, and from wed-fri im at my moms. And they trade off weekends.)

I desperately want a ferret, but my parents feel just as strongly that I shouldn’t. What are some things I could say about ferrets or what I’ll do that can help me convince them?
I asked for ways to convince my parents to let me get a ferret, not reasons I shouldn’t. I appreciate the concern, and I will take your answers into account, but if your going to post, please answer the actual question.

Just wondering- because my 6 month old kitten won’t use the scratching post and we aren’t always there to encourage her when we’re at work in the day- if soft claws www,softclaws.com are a good non-cruel alternative?
they’re only for two weeks whilst she goes to stay with my parents so its a non- permanent thing.
just wondering if anyone has an opinion on them or advice ?
thanks!!!

We have a lab/Rottweiler something mix that we rescued as a puppy that we trained to a crate. He grew significantly more than we expected (115 Lbs at 18 months) Now he struggles to fit in his crate at night, so my parents decided the easiest thing to do is to train him away from a crate. But I’m pretty sure it’ll be hard on the dog since we taught him about the crate being his "safe place" etc. Whats your take on this situation?

I’m adopting a cat and I need everything- litter box, scratching post, etc….
I said "inexpensive" not "cheap" for a reason… and. i think most parents do bargain shop for children’s toys, clothes, food, etc.

I’m in Northern Indiana, and need to get a pet crate for my parents…they are adopting a miniature schnauzer this weekend, and the crate does not come with it. Where is the least expensive place to find a crate for them? Thanks in advance for your help!
