Well I have a 6yr. old basset hound who has been peeing on the carpet lately. We live in an apartment so we don’t have a back yard just a good sized patio(well good sized for an apartment its kinda big) we started to put him on there but ran into 2 problems 1.) We found a scorpion in the bathroom so don’t want him outside at night 2.) He doesn’t sleep he just sits at the door all night long. So were thinking about crate training him but he is really scared of everything so we don’t want to scare him to death by putting him in crate( trust me he will be scared he is deathly afraid of laundry baskets he will do anything to get away from them) Well any advise would be nice thank you in advance
Forgot to add I’m home all day long with him.
Well he is use to sleeping with either my fiance or his dog family. But he had to get rid of the other dogs cause he had to move(long story). And we usually let him sleep in the bed with us but he’s been getting up and peeing on the floor during the night. He will pee out side the only time he pees on the carpet is at night when were asleep

My chihuahua/yorkie mix gets SOOOO excited when visitors come. She’ll run around and bark like she does when she’s playing, but when they try to pet her, she’ll run away. People sometimes find this insulting. Once they’ve been here a few minutes, she won’t run away, but she’ll submissive pee.
I’m thinking she loves visitors, but can’t get over her shyness. Is this right?

I love animals, But I am getting sick of the smell in our living room. She thinks that its ok to clean out this cat box like whenever she feels like it. I have spoken to her several times and she doesn’t care. I even told her that its like she enjoys smelling cat crap and pee. What should I do? Why is this not a problem for her?

I have 3 dogs and my backyard is nothing but dirt. Now that the weather is starting to warm up I have noticed a very strong urine odor outside. I have sprayed off the fence and the walls of the house where my male dog likes to pee but it doesnt seem to help. I have seen a lot of threads to use bleach and other cleaners, but because my yard is 99% dirt (except the small 4ft by 3ft slab by my back door) I wasn’t sure if the bleach would be a safe way to go… What can I do?

I have tried cleaning the whole thing, i have tried cleaning it daily when i get home from school. We don’t have normal household stuff around like vinegar because we never cook, and our family isn’t really the goodie goodie classic family that has all the household materials people talk about (Measuring cups, sugar, salt, cooking oil, and things like that) how do I get it to stop?? It smells like cat pee, i’v shampooed the carpet, so it’s not our cat.

My 5-month old puppy pees on my bed when I leave the room sometimes. She has peed on my sister’s bed as well. And tonight when I went out of my bedroom for about a minute, she peed a small spot on my favourite pillow. What’s happening? She is fully potty trained and I took her out to pee 10 minutes before she peed on my pillow!! Is this a dominance thing or is it because she’s anxious that I’m gone?
