I’m flying home for Christmas, and I need to get a pet carrier that is FAA approved. Can anyone suggest a certain brand or type that is best? I’ll have a 6 month old Scottish Terrier puppy (I assume by then she’ll be 16lbs, if she’s 10 lbs now), and I want to make she stays comfortable, but I want to make suer the carrier is easy to carry around. Also, this carrier will be her crate when I’m at home, so should I use the hard plastic type or the soft type? Any experienced pet travelers out there??

I have a 4 year old toy dog. She only weighs 4-5 lbs. Can she sit with me on the airplane if she is in a pet carrier? She is a quiet dog and doesn’t bark. I am afraid if i put her in a crate in cargo she might have a heart attack, because she is a fragile dog.

I’m a new pet owner with a rescued, older silky terrier. I bought a plastic pet carrier (for transporting). But he seems fine in the car without a carrier. Can I use the carrier as an indoor crate? Or is it more preferable to get a larger playpen?

I have a problem with my cat jumping up by the bird cage and scaring the bird to death! It does not matter where I put the bird cage, the cat finds away to get up to it. I scare the cat away from it, spray water at it, put it in a pet carrier, swat the cat even, nothing seems to work! I ran out of things to try! "PLEASE HELP ME FIND AWAY!"
