Does anyone know if there an IAMS (not the insurance but pet food) headquaters or equivalent anywhere in Florida?

If you go there you can see a story of a woman who only fed her 2.5 year old cat Friskies and it threw up and hours later it died. Friskies may be contaminated.
Same thing with me. I have been feeding my cat Friskies Dry Feline Favorites for about 2 weeks with the same bag. They are fine and not acting werid. If my bag was contaminated they would be dead already. These pet food companys need to get their act together and if they know that some of their dry or wet foods or treats came from the same manufacturer as the tainted wet food, then they should issue a recall right away.

I made the mistake of buying some pet food at a discount store and it was loaded with pantry moths. Unfortunately they had gotten out and spread to everything in the pantry before I noticed.
Dry beans, pasta, oatmeal, other dry cat food.
I threw everything out, but I can’t get rid of them.
I even used mothballs, which ruined my other food. I have tried moth spray. Nothing helps. I have thrown out every thing that I find that they are getting into. I have been fighting these awful things for almost a year.
HELP!!!

I think it’s very sad because many seeking answers on healthy food for their pets will be fooled into thinking brands like Purina are healthy but really are very unhealthy and junk food. In the 1970s and 80s the American market was flooded with shoddy, Japanese products otherwise known as Jap-Crap because it easily fell apart or broke. These were usually sold at discount stores like K-Mart. If you wanted a decent product you would go to a store like Sears and bought ‘American Made’. Now we have millions of products coming in from China that are not only poorly made, but are dangerous. Tainted pet food (how many cats/dogs REALLY died from this), faulty tires, toothpaste with anti-freeze in it, children’s toys covered in lead paint with magnets falling off (3 kids so far have had to have surgery to remove choked on parts)…I beleieve that I think like most Americans-I will pay more for a better, safer product, so why is there much importing? Is it greedy business or cheap consumers? Can we ever go back to American made products? Why or why not?

I am concerned about the pet food that is tainted…..I find several brand names of dog food, but can’t find out if Friskies canned cat food is one to be concerned with. Friskes is made by purina but I can’t get any information on it. Do you ?

My mother and I are planning on starting a small-animal rescue, for rats, mice, hamsters, etc. I was wondering if there is a way we could get a discount on large amounts of pet food and bedding for them. If maybe PETCO would sign us up for a discount once we got the shelter started or if the company that makes the supplies would?
ALSO:
We were planning on using the small room in our basement. We are renting this house and I was also wondering if there are any laws we have to conform to before we begin this. We live in Pennsylvania.

I have started using coupons out of the Sunday Paper.
I reuse boxes and bags.
I don’t eat out anymore.
I try to plan trips to the store with other things to save gas.
I use cheap non-brand pet food (for my pets)!
I bought a car that gets 31 miles to the gallon instead of using a van that got 10.
I shop at my local green dollar store for toiletries.
I only but clothes used now at yard sales and goodwill.
I am going to take my first camping vacation locally instead of going out of state and staying in a
motel and eating out. i will pack a cooler and grill out!
I turn off lights and use fans instead of air conditioning.
Please any other ideas or add on ideas. Best Ideas deserve 10 points!

Why there was many recall on the pet food (quite some time ago)? One brand after another all the sudden? I thought dogs could eat garbage or even their own poop and will be alright. I know its disgusting, but so why with the recall ?

There are so many to chose from in the stores and i dont know which to pick. I plan to keep my dog indoors mostly but he does go outside to play everyday. I want to control fleas but without using a flea collar. can anyone suggest a good shampoo and dog food ? the animal shelter said they feed thier animals with whatever pet food is donated and it varied during the week. Also, can anyone tell me about a website that gives good information about dogs?
