I need to find the best pet health insurance that is in New Hampshire? I’m so sick of not being able to afford to go to the Vet here cause they charge you 0 just walking threw the doors. I have a 7 yr old APBT with a tumour on her leg and they want 900 to remove it, which for me is not in my back pocket. Not only that she had a litter of puppies that all need vaccinations and my husbands crazy and wants to keep a male.. who I want to be neutered. I need coverage before I step foot into another of the ridiculously pricey animal hospitals that litter this state. None of them would help me when I thought my dogs tumor busted unless I walked in with lots of cash. 6 of them told me I would see the end of my dog that night…. that of 3 weeks ago and she fine and the tumor swelling went down.
I was thinking about getting pet health insurance, and I assumed the point of pet health insurance is so you don’t have to pay at the visit… I’ve been looking into a few and all of them say you need to pay the vet in full at the time of visit (yea because everyone always has that kind of money lying around, especially sometimes pets have accidents that you don’t plan on). Then there is some sort of claim you fill out and send to the insurance company who most I’ve seen reimburse 80% of what you paid…
They also state it can take up to 30 days to get your reimbursement…
Then I was looking at one of the claim forms and read this which really confused me
"Would you like reimbursement sent directly to the vet or clinic listed on this form?"
What is going on here?? Aren’t they supposed to reimburse ME? Why would you reimburse the vet who I have already paid…

so my dog is about 10 years old, & his doctor said that around this age he’ll start having a lot of eye problems, like he could go blind, & i decided to find him some health insurance in case he ever needs surgery for that(because i don’t want him to go blind). i was looking online but its kinda confusing, does anyone, from experience or anyone heard of any pet health insurance that covers all or most of the following:
surgery
emergency(if we have to take him to the emergency room)
vaccinations
x-rays
medicines
exams
flea treatments
worm prevention or treatments(stomach worms)
other plans i found online were extremely expensive, so let me know if you kow of any that are affordable.

oh & also i want to make sure the insurance covers eye surgery or anything that has to do with his eyes.
I have 3 wonderful dogs and love them all very much. But I worry every day that something bad will happen and I won’t be able to afford the emergency treatment that they will need. I want to purchase pet health insurance but I am not sure what company is the best? Can any one give me some advise?
